Gaia Technologies can offer the following key added value services;

GAIA offers equipment to Education and HE Institutions under a
Managed Service proposition which can be a basic 3 years rental of
equipment, to a full blown lease and refresh cycle with extended onsite warranty and on-site engineering support for installation and regular
maintenance. Customers are able replace devices at any stage in the
cycle with equivalent or better equipment, or at a typical 3 – 4 years for
portable devices. The offering extends to other equipment and services
such as network infrastructure and consultancy services.

Gaia is able to offer an on-site engineer service if customer support
requirements, activity and budget should dictate. We currently offer this
arrangement to multiple customers as part of our managed service
portfolio. We are also pleased to offer hybrid arrangements under which
on-site support is provided on a regular basis at preplanned times. This
could, for example, be 1 day a week or 1 week per month. The
arrangement is infinitely flexible and can be set up for any period of
time. This means that it can be used to provide cover for long term
absence, illness or holiday periods.
•
Gaia is able to offer free on-site, hands on technical training for the
Member's key staff involved in supporting their own fleet. Basic
familiarisation with the device should be only provided during major O/
S upgrades such as Windows 8/10 or Office 2013 where there is a
significant change from previous Windows XP/Vista/Win 7 and Office
2007 / 2010.

In order to facilitate reuse and collection of WEEE, including
maintenance, upgrade, refurbishment and recycling, Acer following the
WEEE Directive will provide reuse and treatment information for each
type of new EEE put on the market within one year after the equipment
is put on the market. Until each manufacturer’s responsibility systems
are fully established, Acer reaches out to assume the manufacturers’
