Buy & Sell Requirements for Listing
1. The Buy & Sell is a free service to Collins
Community Credit Union members only.
You must be a CCCU member to submit
an ad. We ask that you do not submit
ads into the Buy & Sell for friends and/or
relatives but instead encourage them to join
the credit union. Our field of membership
is open to anyone who lives or works in
Linn, Johnson and any of the surrounding
counties.
2. All ads must be received before
midnight on the last business day of the
month. Ads submitted during the month
will be available in printed form or online
on the 15th of the following month. If the
15th of the month falls on a weekend or
a holiday, it will be available on the next
business day.
3. Ads must include Name, Member account
number and either a home or cell phone
number, AREA CODE included (business
numbers or work extensions will not be
permitted). Incomplete Ads will not be
printed.
4. Ads submitted with items from more than
one of the available classifications will be
published in the Miscellaneous category.
5. All listings must be in typed or written
form using the credit union provided Buy &
Sell Cards or a standard 3x5 index card that
includes the information in Guideline #3
above. Ads may also be submitted at
www.collinscu.org. No listing will be
accepted over the phone.
6. Due to space limitations, all members are
limited to ad copy of 255 total characters,
including spaces per monthly issue of
the Buy & Sell. Single ads that exceed this
number will be edited to comply. A member
may submit ads for multiple categories but
the 255 letters and spaces limitation still
applies. The credit union does not retain ads
that have been omitted due to a member
reaching the maximum limit. Similar ads
submitted by a member will only be listed
once in the publication.
7. Collins Community Credit Union
reserves the right to reject or edit any ad
even if it falls within the 255 character
guidelines. This will typically involve the
use of abbreviations and/or the omitting of
descriptive phrases.
8. All ads featuring items for sale or wanted
must be personal items only.

Please use the Buy & Sell card format when
filling out your 3x5 index cards. Supplies
of the cards are available at each of
our offices. Please classify your item
into one of the following categories:
Vehicles, Recreational Vehicles,
Auto Parts, Electronics, Furniture/
Appliances, Sporting Goods, Clothing/
Baby Items, Miscellaneous,
and Items Wanted. If more
than one item is to be listed,
be sure to classify each item properly,
checking one class per card. Your Name,
Account Number, and Phone Number are
still very important and must
be included on any Buy & Sell ad
that is submitted. Your cooperation
in this matter will help assure proper
placement within our Buy & Sell.

9. Any ads of a commercial nature, offering
items for sale with the intent of making a
profit, will not be printed. EXAMPLE: Real
Estate, babysitting, daycare, housekeeping,
rental properties, firewood, vegetables, etc.
Animals may be advertised as Free to a good
home. Members listing an animal as “Free
to a good home” are encouraged to use due
diligence to insure that the animal does
indeed end up in a good and safe home.
