south.

October 30.
LATE-REGISTRATION: Phoned registrations through 8 November accepted for
a $2 surcharge payable at shoot. Registration at the shoot requires full late fee
at registration address or at range on Saturday.
SHOOTING SCHEDULE: Talk at 8:00, shoot at 8:30. We will shoot 2 24 target
FITA Field round on Saturday and 1 on Sunday (12 marked and 12 unmarked
each round - three arrows per target).
LUNCH: Drinks and food will be available at the shoot.

special rate for Central Florida Bowhunters and they called me back with $52
for a single and $57 for a double plus tax... works out to $58.24 for the single

The FAA Board of Directors met at the State Target Championship at Gold Coast Archers in
Delray Beach. Present: Tim Austin (Sec/Treas), Bob Jones (President), John Laudicina (South),
Oliver Austin (NFAA Director), and Mike Marlow (Northwest). Absent: Shelly Mascaro (NAA
Representative), Jake Pettitt (Central), Phil Graves (North) and Shannon North (Release Editor).

South moved and Northwest 2nd approval of financial report presented at meeting. So voted.

MEETINGS PER YEAR: Secretary moved and South seconded to change FAA Board Meetings

TWO MEETINGS: Secretary moved and South seconded to have the required meetings at the
State Field Championship in May and at NAFAC/Everglades Open in December. SECOND

2013 FAA NAA/NFAA INDOOR SHOOT LOCATIONS: Shoot locations are Easton Newberry,
Miami Springs, and Ft Lauderdale for the weekend of Mar 8-10, and Tallahassee for the weekend
of Mar 1-3. Vote taken by Phone and E-mail. Approved again at this meeting. Shelly Mascaro
has agreed to officiate at Miami Springs and become USA Archery Judge qualified. The Miami
Springs location will have FAA NFAA, FAA NAA, and Sectional scoring available. CLOSED

2013 FAA JOAD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP: Will be 15-16 June 2013 at the Easton/Newberry
Center. Unanimously approved. CLOSED

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RULES: Applicant must have participated in 5 different FAA State
Championships in two years. Yes = Central, Northwest, Secretary, President, NAA

NO REPEAT REGISTRATION IN SAME DIVISION IN SAME CHAMPIONSHIP: South
moved and Northwest seconded that there be no second registration allowed in the same division
at an FAA event. (Note: A second registration in a different division at the Indoor is allowed, but
this motion will stop individuals from re-shooting a round in the same division.) Yes: Secretary,

10. FAA PRO DIVISION MEMBERSHIP: NFAA Director moved and Northwest seconded. Where
no requirement exists for Pro Membership in another organization for individuals who shoot Pro
in a different organization, FAA will not require pro membership in FAA/NFAA competition.

A tropical storm in the Atlantic caused at least 38 MPH busting winds that came from right to left and
caused extremely difficult shooting conditions. It’s amazing that 9 individuals broke records, including
one with record breaking scores on the 900 Round. We had gusting wind for both days and a little bit of
rain as well. The host club provided a beautiful range, well reworked mats and stands, good food… an
overall very nice experience once you got by the wind…

TOURNAMENT DATES: 7-8-9 December 2012
HOSTING CLUB: Everglades Archers. 17415 S W 264th Street, Miami FL.
RANGE DIRECTIONS: 17415 S W 264th Street, Miami FL - Take Florida Turnpike South,
exit at S W 200 Street (Caribbean Blvd) turn right and go to US-1 (2nd Light). Turn Left on
US-1. At SW 264th Street turn right. The range is on the right side of the road about 3 miles
after US-1.
SEND REGISTRATION FORM AND CHECK TO: Florida Archery Association, Timothy

SHOOT FEES: $35 adult, $25 youth, and $25 cub. PRO money fee of $100.00 (Pro's will pay
$135.00).
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Mailed entries should be postmarked by December 1th (US)
or November 24th (Canada & Mexico). Phoned or Emailed registrations through December
5th will be accepted for a $2 surcharge payable at the shoot. Registration at the shoot will
require a $15 late fee added to the normal registration fee.
SHOOTING SCHEDULE: Friday 12/7: Assembly at 11:30am. 28 Animal round (with no
bonus spots) at 12:00pm. Saturday 12/8: Assembly at 7:30 AM. 28 Field at 8:00 AM.
Sunday 12/9: Assembly at 7:30 AM. 28 Hunter at 8:00 AM. Awards as soon as all scores
posted to scoreboards and realigned (typically 30 minutes after last person is finished).
