Configuration – Configure the Wireless Encryption setting through the router’s admin web via
Internet Explorer (IE)
It is highly recommended to configure the Wireless Encryption by wired connection.
a. Access into the admin page (http://192.168.2.1/).

c. Click Wireless Settings Security. Change the Encrypt Type to WEP and enter a WEP key in
WEP Key1.
d. Scroll all the way down and click Apply.

c. Click Wireless Settings Security. Change Security mode to WPA-PSK_WPA2-PSK and the
WPA Algorithms to TKIPAES. Create a Pass phrase.

Topic: Wi-Fi Protected Setup(WPS)
Below guide is for connecting SMCWUSB-N3 using WPS.
a. Connect to the master unit and access into the admin page (http://192.168.2.1/).
b. Key in the name/password to login; default name: admin; default password: smcadmin.
c. Go to Wireless Settings WPS. Select Enable as shown below and Apply.
d. Open the wireless utility for SMCWUSB-N3.
e. To sync/connect wireless with SMCWUSB-N3. Press the WPS button as shown below.
WPS light will blink means that it is scanning for Wireless device with WPS.
f. Press and hold the WPS button as shown below for 5 second.
You will see “PBC – Scanning AP” appear on the bottom of the utility.
g. Once the sync/connect is done. You will see status connected as below.

Connect the network camera directly to your pc. Run the Pan Tilt Network camera CD, go to
IPFinder.

IPFinder will find the default ip address(ETC:192.168.0.30) for the network camera.

Change to static IP for your PC in order to access the admin page of the network camera.
ETC: IP address: 192.168.0.100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway:192.168.0.1
Once done, click on OK.

Enter 192.168.0.30 on your internet explorer. A popup as below will appear.
Enter Default username: admin and password: smcadmin
5. Go to Setup.

Go to Network Network.
Check on Static IP and enter IP: 192.168.2.2
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.2.1
Primary DNS: 192.168.2.1
Note: Default gateway is the IP of your router.

Scroll down, Change the HTTP Port to 10000. Click on Apply.

Change back static IP to “Obtain an IP address automatically”. Click on Apply
After Step 8 is done, connect your IP camera to your SMCWBR14S-N4.

Go to www.no-ip.com to create account. Log in using your created account.
Go to Add a Host.
10. Create a hostname for your IP camera (ETC: test.no-ip.org).
Scroll down and click on create host.
11. Access into the admin page (http://192.168.2.1/).
12. Key in the name/password to login; default name: admin; default password: smcadmin.
13. Go to Administration Management. Scroll down and enter your no-ip account detail in the
DDNS Settings.
14. Go to Firewall Virtual Server. Enter the IP address of the IP camera (ETC:192.168.2.2) and
the port opened in the ip camera admin page (ETC: 10000).
15. Camera is basically able to access from local network by enter 192.168.2.2:10000 on
your pc.
For PC outside the network( other location), you can access by enter the hostname you
created in no-ip with the port (ETC: test.no-ip.org:10000).

a. Access into the admin page (http://192.168.2.1/).
b. Key in the name/password to login; default name: admin; default password: smcadmin.
c. Click Firewall DMZ. Change DMZ settings to Enable under DMZ. Enter the IP address of the
PC you are using.
e. Click Apply.

Default Policy.
d. Scroll down and enter the MAC address for the PC you are denying from accessing the
internet. Change to action to Drop.
