REGISTRATION INFORMATION
REGISTRATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Online registration is our preferred method and is highly recommended. You may register for programs and
Beach Memberships online and will receive a receipt of your transaction sent to your email. Registrations are still first
come-first served so you will be able to register early at your convenience. Go to our website www.waylandrec.com
to register. You may call our office at 508-358-3660 to register, mail in your registration form, fax it to 508-358-3665, or drop
by the Recreation Office at the Town Building.
REFUND POLICY
Our classes are supported solely by fees. If you need to cancel a program, you must notify our office at least 10 business days
before a program begins for a refund minus the administrative fee. After that time, no refunds are given except for
medical reasons with a doctor’s note. Requests for refunds must be in writing (email accepted) with a short explanation.
Refunds may take 2-3 weeks for processing. Cancelled classes due to low enrollment will be fully refunded.
An administrative fee of $10 will be retained per person per program for youth withdrawals from fall, winter,
spring programs, $20 for summer programs, and $10 for all adult programs. Refund and withdrawal requests for Summer
Adventure, CIT, Wayland Escapes and Beach Buddies must be made in writing and received in our office by June 5.
AFTER JUNE 5th, NO REFUNDS FOR THESE PROGRAMS WILL BE GRANTED.
CANCELLATION POLICY
No classes are held when Wayland schools have been cancelled. If a program is cancelled due to inclement weather or
instructor absence, every attempt will be made to reschedule the class. In most cases, an additional week will be added to the
end of the program to account for missed time. We are not responsible for any missed classes due to a participant’s inability
to attend. If a program is cancelled, you will be notified by email.

ancient Egyptian life. This fast paced program focuses on exploring what everyday life was like for ancient Egyptians and
offers children the opportunity to have a hands-on experience.
Paulette Morin, M.Ed., is owner and operator of Fun with Science Programs. For over 18 years, Paulette has traveled throughout New
England as a performance educator. She is an amateur Egyptologist and paleontologist.

Practices will be held every Monday and Thursday as a team at Wayland High School and individual workouts will be provided to those who
want to do more on their own. Thursdays will include home and away meets with other teams when not a team practice day. In addition,

This is an extensive two-week training program that will provide youngsters with a variety of opportunities to
prepare for a possible future position as a counselor. There will only be 1 to 2 CITs per group at our popular
Summer Adventure Program allowing for a more fulfilling experience with responsibility. The CIT Director
will oversee the CITs and provide them with group workshops, team building exercises, and valuable tools for
working with children and supervising field trips. Because we know this will be a popular program, we can only
accept 8 CITs per session this summer. Children may sign up for only one session. Experience in babysitting or
background working with children is encouraged for this program.

development through demonstrations and drills. The afternoons
are filled with games, contests, and prizes. We welcome players of
all skill levels from beginners to experienced. Players will be

BEACH MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Two categories of beach memberships are available:
1) Wayland residents who are listed on the census
2) Non-residents who live outside of or in Wayland but are not on the
census, i.e. nannies, sitters, in-house guests.
IMPORTANT:
NON RESIDENT BEACH MEMBERSHIPS
A limited number of non-resident memberships are available. Purchase online at
Waylandrec.com or call the Recreation Dept. at 508-358-3660. Non-resident
memberships fees: $55 per adult (18—59), $35 per child (over 2 years old by
6/1/15–through 17 years), $15 senior (60 +).
RESIDENT GUEST SWIPE PASS OPTION
You must have returned your 2015 Census Form to the Town Clerk
for you and your family to be eligible to purchase resident memberships. A 2015—10 swipe pass option is only available to Wayland adult residents for
only $25, 50% off the daily admission rate. Must have current adult or
senior beach membership to purchase swipe passes. Passes are assigned to a
member. That member must be present to allow guests. Purchase online at
