PHASE 1: NFL® DRAFT TRAINING When: Upon completion of college season Where: Ignition Ohio – Cincinnati, Ohio Ignition Florida – Naples, Florida (retreat location) NFL® Combine Training The eight weeks of intense preparation is designed to improve your speed, strength and skills specific to the testing at the NFL® Scouting Combine. Ignition is built on results-driven methodologies and authentic relationships which is why each program is uniquely suited to the needs of each athlete. Pro Day Training Once the NFL® Combine is over we will help you prepare specifically for drills that will help you shine at your Pro Day. We will detail your training to maximize your exposure to scouts in attendance. Our goal is for you to master every NFL® Combine drill, but should there be any specific drill you want to improve upon, we will focus your training accordingly. The true story of Mike Mitchell, a small town boy with big time talent Mike Mitchell’s NFL® selection was quite a surprise to many at the 2009 NFL® Draft. Most television commentators had never even heard of him until the day his name was announced. However, since Mitchell posted a 4.43 time in the 40-yard dash at Ohio University’s Pro Day, the Oakland Raiders® didn’t hesitate to scoop Mitchell up in the 2nd round as their new safety. Carlos Holmes of the Dayton Daily News stated, “Mitchell appears to be another one of those prospects like UC’s Connor Barwin who is training at Ignition® and storming up team’s draft boards.” At Ignition, the coaches and the programs are individualized to each athlete. They build success because of their commitment to perfection. Ignition athletes also maximize results and minimize risk of injury by incorporating the benefits of water workouts. The buoyancy of the water offers stress reduction on joints, bones and muscles while increasing the exercise workload. Physical Therapy & Chiropractic Ignition® athletes can take advantage of our professional chiropractic team and physical therapists on staff, right here in our facility. While the goal is injury prevention, our athletes are in good hands with any issue that may arise during training. Soft tissue rehab provided inhouse by Dr. Kevin Poole of Airrosti Rehab. Recovery & Regeneration Massage therapy is a crucial component to a healthy muscle gain program. Ignition’s licensed massage therapists consult with athletes one-on-one to identify where massage work is needed and how it can enhance their individual programs or eliminate symptoms of stress or discomfort. Hot tub and sauna treatments are used to recover tense, contracted muscles after a hard workout as well as to promote muscle regeneration and injury prevention. Video Analysis Using video analysis techniques to improve performance is quickly becoming a commonplace practice. Using video allows Ignition to record and correct each athlete’s movement technique. NFL® Mentorship Program We believe that building a personal relationship with NFL® veterans will only enrich your understanding and allow you to become a more experienced and knowledgeable person. The NFL® Mentorship Program is an opportunity for our athletes to embrace the knowledge of the business, understand the social capital, and receive the psychosocial support that is needed in a professional football career. In addition to working with NFL veterans our combine athletes will have the privilege to be observed, coached, and counseled by a number of current and former NFL coaches and personnel. In past years Hall of Fame OL Anthony Munoz, Offensive Coordinator Chuck Bresnahan, Defensive Coordinator Mike Sheppard, and others have each been a part of our combine training coaching team. TERENCE NEWMAN | 2003 NFL DRAFT PICK | KANSAS STATE “Ignition® is a diamond in the rough. Great workouts backed by great results. Ignition® Hand Combat Coach Ben Creamer has been implementing the principles of Kung Fu, boxing, and ju-jitsu in a specific way to NFL® athletes for more than seven years. With a specificity to each position, Coach Creamer works with athletes to improve their one-on-one maneuvers. Wide receivers will focus on getting around a jam without losing time or space. Defensive lineman will perfect their strikes, evasions and countermoves. Other positions that have to get around a block will learn skills and maneuvers to do so instinctively. Hand Combat drills start out at a light intensity with a focus on staying loose and reactive. The gradual increase in the speed, reflex and complexity of movement equips players over time to become a tactician with their hands while making it reflexive. Ignition's Hand to Hand Combat program is currently being used by some of the top NCAA teams in the Country and Ben has worked as a hand combat consultant wit the Cincinnati Bengals the last four seasons. The program at Ignition prepared me to play at my highest level during the 2014 season.” OPERATION 53 Media Spotlight SM TJ Moe Sam Acho “Missouri WR TJ Moe impressed in the shuttle and three cone drills. Moe timed out better than any receiver in both drills, running a 6.53 in the 3-cone drill and a 3.96 in the 20-yard shuttle. Moe added a 10.87 in the 60-yard shuttle, which was also the top time and an all time record at the NFL Combine. Moe shouldn't have much of an issue shaking NFL cornerbacks after he managed to put up 26 repetitions of the 225-pound bench press on Saturday. That number would've been near the average for the offensive lineman on Friday. This was the top bench press for all WR and one off the all time record at the NFL Combine for his position.” – SB Nation “Acho’s draft stock is rising after the 262-pound Longhorn showed previously unseen athleticism to the scouts. Both 40s came in below 4.65 and displayed impressive quickness, footwork and the ability to change direction during drills. His time in the L Drill was 6.69, breaking the all time Defensive Lineman record.” – Sports Illustrated Jordan Hicks "If Texas Longhorns linebacker Jordan Hicks suffered a decrease in athleticism as a result of multiple seasonending injuries during his career in Austin, it certainly didn't show at the NFL Scouting Combine. He had the fastest 10 yard split by a LB, he placed top 3 in each of the agility drills, and top 5 in the jumping events. Hicks went from being a potential undrafted Free Agent to a Mid Round Draft Pick." – SB Nation Darryl Roberts Snubbed by postseason senior all-star games and a spot at the 2015 NFL Combine, Roberts opened eyes and enhanced NFL prospects with an impressive performance at Marshall’s Pro Day (March 11) … At his Pro Day workout, Roberts posted a 4.36 and a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash, a 39-inch vertical leap, an 11-1 broad jump, bench pressed 225 pounds 23 times – topping all cornerbacks who were invited to the NFL Combine” -herdzone.com Dorin Dickerson “Of the nearly 330 players who spent the past six days getting poked, prodded & tested at the NFL® Scouting Combine, only 4 ran faster than Pitt’s Dickerson. Only one jumped higher. And, among tight ends, none consistently tested better.” – Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Jackson Jeffcoat “It's hard to look past someone with the athleticism that Jeffcoat proved at the NFL combine. A top performer in the 40 yard dash, the L Cone, the Vertical and Broad Jumps and the Pro Agility." - SB Nation Ignition APGTM programs and athletes have been seen in the following national publications and featured in the motion picture film, Late Rounders.
