GERONIMO (1829-1909) CARD SIGNED--RARE EXAMPLE FROM HIS HOME AT
FORT SILL, OKLAHOMA
Most famous Apache leader, forcibly resisted internment of 4000 of his people,
subsequently surrendering then escaping on several occasions, became public
figure in his old age. RARE, large, dark, bold signature “GERONIMO” on 4.5x2
card, ink spreading to “ER” else fine, accompanied by original mailing envelope
with 2 cent George Washington stamp, postmarked Fort Sill, Okla. Nov 2 1904,
addressed to “L.N. Skinner, 2306 6 Street, San Diego Calif.”, second postmark San
Diego, Nov 5 1904 on verso, pencil notation in another hand at top left “Geronimo”,
likely by the collector, with 8x10 photo ideal for framing

(HORATIO NELSON) (1758-1805) UNION FLAG FRAGMENTS--FLOWN ABOVE
HMS VICTORY AT BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR--FROM UNIVERSITY ARCHIVES
Greatest hero in British naval history. Pair of fabric swatches, .25”x.5”, removed
from the ensign flag that flew above HMS Victory during Nelson’s victory at Trafalgar,
Oct 21 1805, two of the most important flag relics extant, housed in a .5”x.5” locket
suspended from a fabric rope chain opposite tiny portrait of Nelson, expected wear
& abrasions, accompanied by documentation from University Archives. Of historical
note, Nelson on board Victory Oct 21 1805 fought & defeated the French, but was
killed by a sharpshooter. Naval chronicle of 1806 reported: “...into the grave, in
which all the flags of the Victory, fueled by the sailors were deposited - These brave
fellows, however desirous of retaining some memorials of their great and favourite
commander, had torn off a considerable part of the largest flag, of which most of
them obtained a portion...”

10 JIMMIE FOXX (1907-1967) AUTOGRAPHED BALL--EXTREMELY RARE SINGLE
SIGNED MINI-BALL--FROM JAMES SPENCE AUTHENTICATION
Extremely RARE, visually striking, vintage, circa 1959, mini-ball from Foxx’s
Galesburg, Illinois restaurant sweetspot single signed “Jimmie Foxx”, with “JIMMIE
FOXX RESTAURANT” stamping on reverse sweetspot, awesome Foxx single
signed display ball, wear & toning, accompanied by full letter certification from
JSA & full letter certification from PSA/DNA. Of historical note, in the late 1950s
Foxx coached in the Boston Red Sox farm system, but he repeatedly arrived late
to games or too drunk to perform his duties (Tom Hanks’ character in “A League
of Their Own” was modeled after Foxx) & the Red Sox relieved him of coaching
duties in 1959. He was then approached by noted Galesburg businessman Nunc
Mangieri to open a restaurant in Illinois, Jimmie Foxx’s Restaurant opened Aug. 26
1959, it featured charcoal hearth steaks & a $1.10 lunch buffet, the walls displayed
Foxx’s old uniforms, trophies, as well as bats used by Al Simmons, Babe Ruth & Lou
Gehrig, sadly the restaurant quickly failed, closing in less than one year

LOT RESERVES

bids on behalf of the consignor for such lots

lots with reserves will be automatically bid up
to but not above the reserve, or up to the max
bid if the reserve exceeds the max bid.
OUTBID NOTIFICATION

SALES TAX
8-5/8% sales tax will be collected for all lots
shipped to all New York State addresses. 6%
sales tax will be collected for all lots shipped

GUARANTEES
EAC Gallery guarantees the authenticity of
all lots without time limit, to the purchaser
of record. Disputes of authenticity shall
be resolved with the return of lot in exact
condition as shipped with no alteration,
change in condition or damage, accompanied by (1) proof of purchase, (2) return
authorization issued by EAC Gallery, and (3)
a written opinion from a recognized expert
in the related collecting field who has been
deemed acceptable by both buyer and seller,
challenging the authenticity. Refund is limited

CONDITION OF LOTS
All framing is sold in “as is” condition.
Condition description of lot excludes condition
of frame. Framed items may not have been
examined out of frame.
WINNING BID NOTIFICATION
Successful bidders will be notified by email
and mail upon the close of auction.
PAYMENT of all auction invoices will be due
no later than 7 days after the conclusion of
the auction.
In the event of nonpayment the bidder’s
credit card account on file will be charged.
EAC Gallery may impose, and the purchaser
agrees to pay, a 1.5% per month late charge
on outstanding balances over thirty (30) days
from auction concluding date.
SHIPPING Bidder will be invoiced for
packing, insurance and shipping. All lots will
be shipped fully insured. Damage to packages
must be reported within 24 hours of receipt,
all packaging materials must be retained,
and insurance claim procedures followed. All
customs duties, taxes and fees are solely the
responsibility of the bidder.
RETURNS of auction lots will be accepted
when received at EAC Gallery within 30
days of the concluding auction date with no
alteration or damage to the condition of the
item. A return authorization must be obtained
from EAC Gallery prior to shipping all returns.
A full refund of hammer price and buyer’s
premium paid will be promptly issued, no
questions asked.
