Karmanos Comfort Care Initiative
Over $40,000 was raised at the Annual Dinner for Karmanos’
Comfort Care Initiative, a special fund to purchase items that help make
patients’ hospital stay more comfortable. Items such as
complimentary tea, coffee and snacks; blanket warmers, recliner
and sleeper chairs for family overnight visits; as well as high-back chairs
that make it easier for surgical patients to sit and stand after their procedures;
are just a few of the simple but important elements that help make
the cancer patient’s experience more comfortable.
