JET’s engineering team started from the ground
up and meticulously went part by part through
metalworking lathes, mills, and saws and pushed
the status quo. With updated features and finetuned internal mechanisms, JET sweated every
detail of the manufacturing process.

stricter tolerance guidelines demanded in today’s
custom manufacturing settings; durability built into
every work surface to do demanding jobs time and

continues throughout every part of every machine.

PRECISION SPINDLE
High precision spindle is machined from forged alloy steel, ground to exact
measurements, and dynamically balanced to provide vibration free operation.
CLASS 7 SPINDLE BEARINGS
Three high precision bearings firmly support the spindle, keeping
spindle runout, with gears engaged to a maximum of 0.0004”

BUILT FOR DURABILITY
Totally Enclosed Headstock
Totally enclosed headstock, gearbox and apron have an inner oil
reservoir that continuously lubricates moving parts, reducing friction.
Heat treated and Ground Gears
Heat treated and precision ground gears in the headstock reduce
vibration and deflection.
Universal Gearbox
Seamlessly go back and forth, between four different pitch
threads without changing gears. The universal gearbox
supports inch, metric, modular, and diametral threads.

Y-axis ways are precisely hand scraped to minimum of 16 points per square

Heat treated and polished lead screws are supported by thrust bearings
ensuring smooth, incremental movements of the table under load.
BACKLASH ADJUSTMENT
Table and saddle backlash is controlled by an advanced double nut design

center of a part, and re-welded in order to make interior cuts.
