Re-Roofing Project: UPDATE
Silver Systems is scheduled to begin putting the gravel on the 6061
roof in the last week of March, which is the final step in the re-roofing
process other than minor adjustments and clean-up. The tentative plan
is to begin the staging of 6161 on April 5th with the actual re-roofing
process beginning immediately upon the materials being put in place.
If all moves along as scheduled and the weather cooperates, 6161
should be finished the first or second week of May and then the final
building will be 111….it is almost over!!
BIKE STORAGE ROOMS:
The rooms are now locked and only those owners that have paid the annual bike storage fee
and obtained the assigned bike location and corresponding sticker are “legal” to use the
rooms. We have the unidentified bikes, along with the owners’ bikes that were not registered
or removed from the rooms in storage. They will be kept in storage temporarily; any bikes
not claimed by the end of April will be given to charitable organizations.
PLEASE NOTE: Bikes may not be stored on walkways, under stairwells, locked to railings
or in carports. Bikes are not to be left overnight on our bike racks. Non-compliance with
the bike rules and regulations may result in the bike(s) being removed from the property
without further notice.
Reminder: SUMMER GUESTS
Please remember to send in an Occupancy Notice if you have family or friends using your
condo this summer. Not only is this a requirement per the documents, it is very important
guests are registered when it comes to day to day operations such as monthly pest control,
unknown persons reported at the pools, or unidentified cars parked in spaces. This form also
serves to protect the Association from falling under a “transient establishment” since you, as
the owner, are certifying you are not being paid any remuneration for the use of your condo;
and by signing the form upon their arrival, they too are declaring they are not paying any
compensation for the use.
If they will have a vehicle, be sure they know about the guest pass being displayed.

PARKING LOTS’ PROJECT STATUS:
The project to re-mill the asphalt in our parking lots is now to the stage of putting the Project Manual out for bids. The Board of Directors has not, at this time, made a decision on a contractor, signed
a contract nor is there a time frame for the project in place. It will be dependent on the bids
received.
If a contract is decided upon and signed, the projected time frame to begin is late June or early July.
The project, from start to finish, is anticipated to take between three (3) to four (4) weeks to complete.
Obviously, we will require the ability to move vehicles from an area as the work is being done.
Therefore, we are reminding all of those that leave a vehicle here when they are gone in the
summer, to be sure and provide the office with a set of keys. If you have not left a key for your
vehicle with the office, and it becomes necessary to have your vehicle towed in order for the work
to be done, you will be responsible for any towing charges incurred.
If you choose to leave your key with a neighbor or friend, please advise the office, in writing, of
the who, where, and how to contact them.
THE SYLVETTE WEBSITE: A great tool we need to utilize!
Have you visited our website recently….or ever? The website address is: www.thesylvette.com
There is a “public” view and a secured view just for owners. To go into the secured area, all you
need to do is request a log in. We are now posting the monthly Board Meeting minutes, and the
monthly financials have been available on the website and will continue to be posted monthly. You
can also access all sorts of documents: Occupancy notice for friends or relatives staying in your
unit, the Certificate of Approval paperwork for selling or renting your condo, the certificate of
insurance request form, a copy of each buildings flood insurance declaration page…check it out!!
Our goal this year is to keep building the website and start to utilize all the possibilities it has to
offer, because currently we’ve barely scratched the surface!
Also, please send us an e-mail to [email protected] so that we can be sure we have your
e-mail address for our records.

Parking Passes for Guests: WARNING: CARS ARE BEING TOWED!
The new laminated parking passes for guests have been available for several months. Only about
65% of the passes have been picked up. It is your responsibility to provide your guest/renter/
family with the pass. If a car is towed, the cost to “retrieve” the vehicle is a minimum of $140.00!
Vehicles parked in a guest parking space overnight must have a parking pass. I would recommend
guests use the passes, especially on the weekends, for even short term parking. That eliminates the
suspicion the car is being parked here and the people have gone to the beach.
REMINDER: STORAGE LOCKERS
Please do not leave any item(s) in the storage room outside of your storage unit. If an item doesn’t
fit in your storage space, it should not be left in the storage room. The storage rooms are not a
disposal area nor is it the maintenance staff’s job to dispose of discarded items you hauled into the
storage room and left there. Several of the items recently removed from storage rooms posed a
safety concern had they fallen over or been knocked over accidently. (Specifically: mirrors and
ceramic/glass lamps including light bulbs)

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
“OUR POT LUCK DINNER”
Our pot luck dinner was held this year on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. We had 128 people in
attendance. The great variety of salads, cold meats, hot dishes and desserts was outstanding.
A lucky winner to each of our 16 tables was given a bottle of wine and names were drawn for
two $25.00 gift certificates for Skidders restaurant. After our meal, we all joined together for
some singing, dancing and lively conversation. A great evening was had by all. A sincere
thank you to all the singers and players, those who prepared the wonderful dishes and the
men and women who got the tables ready and helped during the evening. Your help was greatly appreciated.

1st Annual Pool Party! WOW!!
What a great day for our 1st Pool Party.
The weather cooperated even though we had
to postpone to Sunday.
There was such a selection of great side dishes, meats and what about the delicious desserts! Yummy! There were
many great door prizes and our 50/50 raffle lady “Joanie” outdid herself
collecting $470.00. The lucky lady who had the winning 50/50 ticket was
Julie Nicholson. Julie donated part of her winnings back to the SSAT.
Thank you so much Julie we really appreciate your donation. All
proceeds from this event will go towards our beautiful Christmas Lights.
A big THANKS to all the many workers, cooks, servers and those that set
up tables and chairs.
Remember this was the 1st…..we will be back next year!
