Bernhard is Managing Director of Orange Hills GmbH, a Munich-based consulting company focused on prototyping,
agile strategy, service and business modeling and the development of software-based innovation tools. Over the last
15 years, Bernhard has founded, facilitated and supported a series of start-ups, including Webmiles AG, SiteForce
AG and Interhyp AG.
On 15 September, Bernhard will introduce you to his business modelling tool, as well as introducing you to his
November session on ‘business modelling for international expansion’.
DANIEL LOWTHER, CCGROUP
Daniel has more than eight years’ experience in B2B public relations and heads up CCgroup’s fintech division
where he is responsible for creating and delivering market engagement strategies for clients. Daniel’s passion is
commercially-driven marketing communications that makes a tangible impact on his clients’ business. Daniel has

Paul Doran is the founder of Switch Communications, a specialist marketing communications consultancy. His
expertise is in helping technology companies ranging from first round VC founded start-ups to FTSE 250 companies.
He has 17 years experience of marketing in all areas of the tech and high-growth landscape.
On 15 September, Paul will facilitate our storytelling workshop with Rob Shimmin.

Rob is a leading UK storytelling expert. For more than 25 years he has helped build global brands on their good
days and protect them through the bad days of crisis. He launched Shimmin Communications in early 2005 after a
decade with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide where he was Managing Director of EMEA.

Matt is the co-founder of The Viral Factory, a full-service advertising agency based in London. With over 10 years’
experience, they have generated over 1.5 billion views and have won over 50 major industry awards.
On 16 September, Matt will explain how you make your content ‘contagious’.
BEN GOLDSMITH, BALDERTON CAPITAL
Ben is Head of PR and Content at Balderton Capital. Previously Ben was the first Head of Content at Level39
technology accelerator. He led and oversaw the communications, branding and digital strategy for the Canary
Wharf-based incubator from launch, and was part of the team that spearheaded the development of Level39. Prior
to this, Ben was a freelance digital communications professional, and worked BIG
with DATA
clients such as Enterprise
Nation, HubTV and Club Workspace. Ben is also a regular presenter, writer and contributor of video content for
Tech City News.
On 16 September, Ben will explain how fintech communications and content marketing differs from other
industries.

Denise Gee has over 25 years of experience in communications across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US.
With an early career in journalism, Denise held media and PR roles in South Africa before moving to the UK and
several internal and senior corporate communications roles at Visa International and BP. Now she advises clients on
the full spectrum of communications and marketing, including public affairs, reputation management and positioning,
internal change and engagement as well as new media.
Denise worked with the Norwegian company Zwipe on their MasterCard launch in 2014. On 16 September, she will
tell us more about how they managed to obtain worldwide coverage.

Tech City UK was launched in Shoreditch in 2010 by the UK Prime Minister David Cameron to support the East London tech cluster known as Silicon
