MAIN STREET
Main Street and the west side have long-featured ethnically
diverse bakeries, markets and restaurants with international
aromas from El Salvador to Sicily and beyond. Long-time
favorite music venues are here as well as retail shops and
resources for home renovations. You will find everything from
rehabilitated bicycles to fine architectural millwork.

BOARDWALK
Anchored by Asbury Park Convention Hall and The Casino
building, the Asbury Park Boardwalk is one of America’s
original destinations to people watch. Today the Asbury Park
Boardwalk offers boutique shopping, fun and food for kids of
all ages as well as fine and casual dining with stunning views.
A mile of beach and surf awaits you.
DOWNTOWN
Shop downtown at nationally renowned home decor shops,
antique centers, and vintage clothing stores. Theatre, art
galleries, movies, yoga and live music can be found and a
wide array of culinary endeavors. Classic delis, hip tapas
lounges, breakfast eateries and fine dining of every cuisine
are here. The downtown district is a short walk from NJ
TRANSIT and to the boardwalk & beach.

BY TRAIN
The Asbury Park Train Station is located on Cookman Avenue,
one block west of Main Street.
Trains are operated by NJTransit and provide service north to
New York City and south to Bay Head on the North Jersey Coast Line.
For a complete list of destinations please visit NJTransit.com
Travel time to New York City is about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Tickets are available at the ticket office Monday to Friday from
5:00am - 12:30pm. There are also two 24 hour ticket vending
machines located outside the station.
Downtown, and a 12 minute walk to the Boardwalk.
BY BUS
Bus service to and from Asbury Park, to all surrounding towns and cities,
is operated by NJTransit. For a complete list of destinations please visit

Bus Passes for NJTransit Buses may be purchased at the Asbury Park
Train Station during normal operating hours

GETTINGTO ASBURY PARK
FROM NEW YORK CITY
Take the New Jersey turnpike south to Exit 11 - Garden St
Pkwy/GSP.
Take GSP south to Exit 102 onto Asbury Avenue East for
2.8 miles.
Stay right around traffic circle to continue onto Rt. 35 S
for 0.2 miles.
Turn left into traffic circle (Rt. 35 N) for 325 feet.
Slight right onto Asbury Ave. travel 1.3 miles then take
a right onto Main St.
Travel 0.3 miles to Cookman Ave; left turn to downtown
district and beach/boardwalk.
FROM PHILADELPHIA
Take I-95 North to I-195 East to Route 18 North to Route
66/Asbury Ave. East.
Take Asbury Avenue East for 0.7 miles.
for 0.2 miles.
FROM WASHINGTON DC/BALTIMORE
I-95 North to Delaware MEM Bridge.
I-295 North to I-195 East.
Take this to Route 18 North to Route 66/Asbury Ave.
Take Asbury Avenue East for 0.7 miles.

PARKING & BEACH
Parking
Metered parking is enforced from 9:00AM to
Midnight everyday. The rate for all numbered
spaces on Ocean Avenue is $2.00 per hour
with a maximum limit of 3 hours.
The rate for all other numbered spaces is $1.00
per hour without any time limits. The meter
machines take cash (no change given) or
Debit Cards, Master Card, Visa or Discover Card
only! After you have paid at the meter machines,
please keep your receipt (no need to take back
to your car). You may use ANY meter to buy or
add time.
Parking can also be purchased from your
smartphone. Simply download the mPay2Park
app from the iTunes Store or Android Market.
