Stefani solutions to improve the quality of your production
AirFusion provides a surprising level of finishing
quality. This technology, edgebanding without glue,
ensures the joint between the edge and the panel
is invisible. Pressurised air at a high temperature
is conveyed on a specific edge so that a layer of the
material fuses with the panel, therefore ensuring
glue is unnecessary.
The extremely versatile AirFusion technology is
compatible and can be perfectly integrated with
traditional gluing technologies. It is also available on
the whole range of the SCM GROUP’s edgebanders.
AirFusion, with speeds up to 25 metres per minute,
can be configured to achieve different levels of
performance.
ED-SYSTEM: EFFICIENT CHIP CUTTING AND
EXTRACTION
The optimized ED-SYSTEM improves the chip suction
quality and performance by means of tools and suction
hoods precisely designed for this purpose. By means of
this technology chips are always evacuated from the panel
and are always controlled. ED-SYSTEM is available on
pre-milling, trimming, fine trimming and rounding units.

PRE-MILLING
UNIT
It mills the panel side to be edged ensuring
an excellent gluing surface. Possibility
of NC managed positioning of the first
feeler. Possibility to equip the tools with
HYDROLOCK technology to reduce
coupling play and vibration.
GLUING
UNIT
It allows high quality application of edges in
0.4 - 3 mm roll and in 1 - 12 mm thick strips/solid
wood. Quick release glue pot for working with
different types of glue. Tracer device for optimisation
of glue dosing. Possibility of a pre-melting device for
hot-melt granules with automatic drawing and easy
filling in an ergonomic way. Possibility of working
solid wood edging measuring up to 22 mm, and
ready-cut strips. Possibility of NC positioning of the
pressure roller. Possibility of managing PU glue
cartridge. Possibility of automatic change of the type
of edging for up to 2 rolls. The change takes place
at the end of a roll or when there is a change in
machining.

For the removal of the overhanging edge from the
front and rear sides of the panel. Possibility of using
the NC to separately tilt the blades for working the
front and back of the panel independently.

For the top and bottom trimming of the excess edge. Possibility of
double automatic NC positioning. Availability of special feelers for
trimming and fine trimming units for the edgebanding of nested
panels. Optimized chip extraction with ED-SYSTEM.
FINE TRIMMING
UNIT
To finish the top and bottom of thin edges or for
the fine trimming of the PVC/ABS edges. Quick
release device for the block composed of tool holder
and tool. Possibility of NC managed side feeler to
process different thicknesses or to compensate for
tolerance. Availability of special feelers for the
edgebanding of nested panels. Available in the
version with kit 2P to work automatically one thin
edge and one radius directly from NC. Also available
in the version kit MULTIPLA, to work automatically
one thin melamine edge and three radii. Optimized
chip extraction with ED-SYSTEM.

For finishing with corner rouding of panels with melamine, PVC, ABS and
solid wood edging strips. Quick release device for the block composed of tool

feeler for working different thicknesses or compensating for tolerances.
Availability of special feelers for edge banding panels previously machined
with the Nesting process. Possibility of setting up the 2P kit for automatically
working one thin edge and one radiused edge using NC. Possibility of
setting up the Multiedge kit for automatically working one thin melamine
