A note from Kendall | The Most Important Decision You’ll Ever Make
Every day we make a lot of decisions. For example, on the day I wrote
this article I decided to wear a mint green shirt, eat some barbecue for
lunch and roll the windows down on my car to feel the cool breeze (75
degrees that day). These decisions are minor, but the most important
decision you’ll ever make is whether you’re going to follow Jesus or not.
From a biblical perspective, this decision determines your eternal destiny
of Heaven or Hell. It’s that important.
Listen to the invitation of Jesus in Matthew 9:9: As Jesus went on from
there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth.
“Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.”
Throughout Jesus’ three-year ministry on earth He invited many people
to follow Him. He told his disciples to extend the invitation to all nations.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end
of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20
When the church officially began, Peter gave
the following invitation to make things right
with God: “Repent and be baptized, every one
of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And
you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” - Acts 2:38
This invitation to follow Jesus applies to everyone. I hope you’ll give
serious thought to the most important decision you’ll ever make -- the
decision to place your faith in Jesus as the Son of God, repent of your
sin, confess Him as Lord and be baptized by immersion. Will you choose
to follow Jesus or choose to live without Him? It is your choice — and
it really is the most important one you’ll ever make. If you need to talk
about this, let me know. Come to our decision room during decision
time after I preach on Sunday or give me a call at 636.357.3617.
Serving Him Together — Kendall Bopp, Senior Minister
A note from David | Being Intentional about Spiritual Growth
Over the last several weeks I have been in
some really interesting conversations and have
had some crazy things happen in my life.
I continue to see that God is so much more
than I can imagine. All of the situations that I
am referring to really come down to living and leading as God created
me. Some of them are difficult in nature and have caused me to grow
in understanding God’s grace and love for all of His creation. Others
have been rewarding conversations that have given me glimpses into
how God is moving in the lives of each of you at Wentzville Christian
Church.
It is in these situations and moments that I understand why the church
exists. Seeing the Holy Spirit moving is exciting and I want nothing
more than for everyone to experience Jesus fully in their lives.
Worship Services | 9 am & 10:30am
Office Hours | M-F 9 am to 4:30 pm
If you have an emergency pastoral care need
after-hours, call 636.856.4357.
If you are interested in having some of the same conversations or
in seeing God really challenge you to grow spiritually and deeper in
relationship with him, you need to follow the advice I am about to
give. If you are not interested in these things it doesn’t make you bad,
it’s just not the right time for you. Keep praying that God will release
His spirit in you to propel you forward in faith.
Here’s my advice —
Plan now to be a part of our Learning Environments (classes, Bible
studies, seminars, etc.) this fall and spring. I know that our lives get
very busy, so I want you to specifically start planning now so that you
don’t schedule over the need to be in these environments where you
can see God move in you. Growing personally does not happen by
accident, it requires intentionality!
David Mehrle, Executive Minister

The first day was awful.
The second day was a day of grief,
fear, discouragement and the loss of a
dream. How could God’s Son be killed
on a cross?
Then came the third day — and God’s
plan became clear. The resurrection
of Jesus brings hope, grace and a new
life!
Join us this Easter and discover the
power of God’s love and the power of
that third day.
Bring a friend & meet us at
