What is Iowa Automotive Recyclers (IAR)?
IAR is a non-profit trade association of businesses involved in
the recovery and sale of green recycled parts from automobiles and
those who support the automotive
salvage and dismantling industry.
Strength in Numbers
IAR membership means fellowship
with other automotive recyclers by exchanging ideas and promoting good business practices. Through the thinking and action of its members, the Iowa Automotive Recyclers work to
build the image of automotive recyclers. IAR enables members to get involved and accomplish collectively what none of
us could do individually. Its strength lies in attracting members
for the purpose of creating a pool of resources from which to
draw ideas, energies, and finances.
Iowa Certified Automotive Recyclers Automotive
(I-CARE) Program
The Iowa Certified Automotive Recyclers Environmental Program is the industry standard of excellence that exemplified
the Iowa Automotive Recyclers membership. The I-CARE
Program is uniquely Iowan in that it includes all state and federal regulation applicable to an Iowa automotive salvage facility. The Iowa DNR staff praised the I-CARE program and the
industry for being proactive in waste management and compliance.
The goal is all Iowa Automotive Recycler members achieving
and maintaining full compliance in safety, environmental and
licensing regulations through the I-CARE certification program.
I-CARE is an affiliate program of the national ARA Certified
Auto Recyclers (CAR).
