The quick suction grab bar is ideal for use as a supporting rail and is useful for temporary installations. The
grab bar can be used on non-pourous surfaces such as tiles, glass and baths and gives a weight limit of
60kg.
The lightweight construction as well as the ease of fixing it is perfect for transportation and temporary

Aktiv reachers give people with impaired hand and arm function the ability to grip due to the gripping jaws,

Part III of the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) became mandatory on 1st October 2004, and states that
service providers such as hoteliers and suppliers of sleeping accommodation are legally obliged to make
provision for the disabled, including the deaf and hard of hearing.

Moulded Grip Plastic Grab Rails
Manufactured in warm feel, polypropylene plastic, these grab rails feature a rust proof stainless steel
moulded insert through the length of the grip, to give additional strength. Suitable for use in almost any
internal or external location, the moulded grab rails are available in two different diameters to suit different
sized hand grips. These rails are available in white or blue to provide contrast against background colour
for visually impaired people.
These moulded grip grab rails are easy to maintain and because they feature integral flanges which cover
the wall fixings there is no exposed metal thus avoiding the need to electrically earth. These grab rails are

immediately alerts when patients call actively for assistance using the wireless call button or when
unsupervised movement is detected from motion or door sensors. The system is designed to be flexible
and affordable for small-home or special area use. It can be upgraded economically or when installation of
cable is not practical.
Designed for the smaller care homes of up to 30 beds, its easy, quick installation involving no cables,
means a complete and comprehensive system for a fraction of the cost and inconvenience. In addition you
have the vital advantage of mobility, meaning no more fumbling to reach a button when needed most. The
innovation is a clever speech system. The button number is displayed and announced at the display panel
and most importantly announced at the pager. This means that the carer is instantly informed of the ID of
the caller. The combination of wireless operation and speech gives maximum mobility to both the person
needing help and the carer.
Accessories
- Monitor: The monitor is battery operated using 4 x C batteries (not included) or from an optional mains
adapter. No installation is required, as the operation is totally wireless. Up to 30 call buttons, door or
movement sensors can be easily programmed into the system. The range is typically 150 meters and it
indicates the calls by voice and illuminated display. The monitor can be wall mounted, or placed on a table

included). They can monitor unsupervised movement near doors or passages. When activated it will send
a signal to the monitor using wireless technology. The range is typically 150 meters. The monitor will
identify the motion sensor and display its number on the panel and by voice. In addition an alarm signal is
also sent to the carers pager with voice announcement of the motion sensor location number.
