Why scarify?
Remove moss easily
The natural growth of grass is hampered when a
thatch of leaves, old grass cuttings, dead roots and
moss builds up and when the mowing intervals are
to long. It leads to reduced disease resistance,
makes it vulnerable to fungal growth and limits
ability to cope during times of drought. Moss makes
the lawn waterproof: water, nutriments and air can
not go through the surface to feed the roots.
By using the AMAZONE Groundkeeper, scarifying
can be achieved easily and the structure of the
ground is improved, even renewed.
The scarifying blades, individually suspended on the
rotor penetrate the ground to a depth of 1–2mm. By
cutting the roots of the grass, it is forced to develop
its roots deeper and this promotes better resistance
to drought and stronger growth.
Moss and thatch is also removed, and at the same
time the Groundkeeper rolls the surface.
The combination of mowing and scarifying
blades produces a very efficient vacuum effect,
leaving a clean and tidy surface.
Removing moss with the AMAZONE Groundkeeper allows the
lawn to become healthier and thicker.

Quick and cost effective
There is an AMAZONE Groundkeeper to fit most
tractors and the cutting height is easily adjusted to
suit a wide range of applications.
The heavy-duty mowing unit of the Groundkeeper
delivers an excellent finish and with powerful collection. So work can begin early in the morning even
if the grass is still wet.
Step-less adjustment of the cutting height.
Thanks to its variety of blades and knives the
AMAZONE Groundkeeper satisfies the expectations of the most demanding customers. Its large
diameter rotor prevents even long wet grass from
becoming wound up on it and stones, cans etc...
won‘t get suck either.
The Groundkeeper mows even if the early morning dew is still
on the grass or even if it‘s really wet - GH-210 working.
„Mulching“
no collecting – simply cut and go

The specific design of knife placement on the large
diameter rotor means the grass is cut into many
small pieces which then decompose quickly to give
a quality „mulching“effect. To mulch with a Groundkeeper simply close its integrated mulching flap and
the grass will be spread on the ground returning
important nutriments go back into the ground.
The AMAZONE Groundkeeper „G“ is exclusively for
mulching as it has no hopper and It is available in
several working widths.
It’s easy to change the machine into a „mulcher“.
The Groundkeeper „G“ is only for „mulching“- grass is cut and
spread out evenly on the ground.

Collecting
Collecting: quickly and cleanly
An „all round ability“ talent
All AMAZONE Groundkeepers are particularly well
suited for the collection of leaves thanks to the
substantial suction effect produced by the blades on
the rotor. The Groundkeeper collects the cut grass,
leaves, fallen twigs, chestnuts etc...
The rotating blades cut the collected material several times before it is forced into the collecting hopper

The strong rotor is not affected during collection by
discarded tins, paper and other litter which is often
left on the lawns of parks and recreation grounds by

Pasture management
The AMAZONE Groundkeeper provides a ‘cleancut’ pasture by combining mowing, scarifying and
collection in a single pass. Rank patches of pasture
that support metre high thistles, nettles and other
weeds, are mown to ground level. The cuttings
along with horse droppings are simultaneously
collected for disposal. This simple and highly
efficient system of paddock management allows
optimum use of all the available pasture.

Disposal of collected waste
Rolling
Disposing of the collected waste: load the residue into
trailers, even a lorry - or into the composting area
The groundkeeper’s performance lies in the fact that
cutting, scarifying and collecting are achieved at the
same time. Dependant on the machine’s type, the
emptying of the collected residue can either be
made on the ground or into a lorry’s trailer. The
residue can then be taken to the compost heap or
disposal area. The collected material will also have
benefited from having been broken by the blades
during collection process which improves composting time.

The Groundkeeper works with its front wheels and
its large rear roller resting on the ground. This
allows the quick adjustment of cutting height and the
micrometer screw system on the rear roller facilitates quick, step-less setting. Rolling the lawn
consolidates and firms the grass and also produces
a beautiful striped finish. You even have the choice
to fit the optional front roller if you need to minimise
any possible ‘scalping’
Professionals recommend “rolling”; it is an integral
part of grass maintenance just like mowing and
scarifying.
All AMAZONE Groundkeepers are supplied with a scraper bar
fitted to the roller as standard.

The cutting blades are made from specially treated
steel to ensure a low wear rate and to survive
rough wear and tear.

Cutting blades are arranged in four rows on the
rotor suspended by specially shaped hangers. This
arrangement means that the blades can be turned
or replaced without using any tools.
The mowing unit of the Groundkeeper is equipped with individually
