See Perth City come alive this
summer with the festivities of
Christmas and the long summer days.
Get into the city and check out the
new shops, bars and restaurants – it’s
never been busier! There’s shopping
seven days a week, lots of activities
for the kids and plenty of good hotel

Northbridge has the highest

While on the island, you can snorkel, surf,
swim, windsurf and have a picnic – however,
it’s important to stick to the walk trails and
demarcated beaches only as the island is a
bird sanctuary.
Other activities
If the ocean isn’t your thing, there
is still lots to do in Rockingham,
including dining at the regions
excellent cafés and restaurants,
getting close to wildlife at Marapana
Wildlife Park, taking a trip along the
Baldivis Karnup Wine trail to enjoy
tasting locally-produced wines, or
teeing off at the nearby championship

minutes by train, Mandurah has grown
from a small seaside town into a

barbecues on the Western Foreshore,
along with plenty of shade and lots

swimming beach, pontoon, aqua park,

Stroll along the Eastern Foreshore and
let the kids loose in the playground or
pick up lunch from one of the many
cafes and restaurants dotted along the
waterfront boardwalk.
Indulge in seafood fresh from
Mandurah’s waters and try some of the
sweet crab meat for which Mandurah
is famous for.

Swan valley
Fortified with ribbons of vineyards,
home to more than 150 places to wine
and dine and only 25 minutes east of
Perth, the Swan Valley is WA’s oldest
and most-visited wine growing region.

Starting from the city on the Great
Eastern Highway, wine lovers can
experience the Swan Valley’s many
wonders along the award-winning Food
and Wine Trail, a 32km scenic loop
taking in many attractions including

cafés, distilleries and venues selling justpicked fresh produce.
Wine and beer tasting
The chances of you wanting to sample
some, or indeed all of the area’s wines

join a wine tasting tour. Alternatively,

other boats go by. Champion Lakes also
