Staff changes in the UK:
• Mark Hughes has joined as the CFO of Mediwatch Plc, based in the
UK. Mr Hughes is a well qualified & experienced CFO, and an expert
in financial and cost control. He has a broad experience having been
at CFO / Finance Director level for over 25 years. For the last 11 years
he has been an interim manager working internationally mainly at
CFO level in industries such as IT consultancy, manufacturing, forestry,
technology and healthcare equipment. Mr Hughes is a fellow of The
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member
of the Institute of Directors, and has an MBA from the University of
Warwick with an honors degree in Banking and International Finance.
UK - PSAwatch:
• The BMI hospital group in London has been using the PSAwatch
system to provide free PSA tests for patients. The sessions are oversubscribed in some areas, showing the need for point of care PSA tests
in the UK.
• Additional results have been released from the European Randomised
Study of Screening for Prostate Cancer (,
showing a 29% drop in mortality due to prostate cancer in men who
undergo PSA testing.
• The Graham Fulford Trust is continuing their charitable PSA testing
events across the UK, now using the PSAwatch system to replace their
original laboratory testing method. They have found that the portability
and speed of the PSAwatch system are combined with an accuracy that
matches laboratory systems.
• Spire Group, another private healthcare organisation, now has had a
fourth successful PSAwatch testing session in the Windsor area.

UK - Sales
• This year Mediwatch UK is planning to attend the UKCS exhibition
in Liverpool, the ACA & BAUN meetings in Brighton, and the BAUS
national meeting in Glasgow.
• Liverpool Women’s hospital has invested in the simplicity of Sensic,
placing an order for three complete Clinic systems.
• Mediwatch’s presence in the UK market is being further enhanced
with with two new sales representatives starting in March and May
for London and the surrounding region, which will enable the team to
spend more time on the new Gastroenterology and Neurophysiology
product lines.
• Mediwatch has been approached by another major international
pharmaceutical company to use Mediwatch equipment in a global trial.
Middle East:
• Mediwatch exhibited at the Arab Health show, one of the largest
medical exhibitions in the world, in Dubai in January 2012, meeting
physicians from across the region in conjunction with local distributors.
• Several orders for capital systems were gained after the show in the
UAE and Saudi Arabia, as well as the opportunity to run trials for
PSAwatch in the UAE.

• Mediwatch exhibited at the European Association of Urologists annual
congress (EAU) in Paris, demonstrating the complete product line. This
was a great meeting with a large number of leads to generate sales for
the Mediwatch distributors across Europe.
• Additional Mediwatch distributors across Europe are in negotiations to
now market PSAwatch.
• The PSAwatch trial in France has now been completed, and the
Mediwatch distributor has formed a new company to concentrate on
marketing PSAwatch & urodynamics.
• The president of MC Medical, the Mediwatch distributor in Japan,
came with a delegation to visit the Mediwatch head office in Rugby
to create a closer relationship. As a showing of respect and friendship
a presentation was made to them of a rugby ball signed by Martin
Johnson, captain of England’s World Cup winning team, while MC
Medical presented a set of Japanese calligraphy pens to Mediwatch.
This important meeting has created a stronger working relationship in
the future for our new range of products in this key Asian market.

• So far this year Mediwatch has attended a total of 7 conferences in
the USA, including meetings for colorectal surgeons, urology nurses,
urologists, urogynecologists and general gynecologists.
• This year Mediwatch is making a strong push to the female urology
& urogynecology markets, identifying them as key targets for growth
in the future. As part of this marketing effort Mediwatch will be
exhibiting at ACOG, the annual OB-GYN medical conference (in San
Diego in May) for the first time. The booth has been redesigned for
these shows to focus on Mobilewatch.
• Mediwatch has run two nurse training courses on urodynamics in
California and Florida this year.
• In May Mediwatch will be attending the AUA in Atlanta Georgia,
the major annual medical conference for urologists. The booth is
redesigned with focused areas for Bladder Scanners and Mobilewatch.
There is always a large international attendance at the AUA, especially
from Latin America, which will provide valuable leads to the new
Mediwatch distributors there.
• In an effort to increase capital sales, 4 Independent Representatives
were re-trained with advanced training, and 18 new Independent
Representatives went through initial training. Mediwatch issued new
Independent Representative agreements that offer an expanded and
more competitive compensation package.
• The Mobilewatch online portal is now being used by customers to
book their mobile testing services and download results.
• Mediwatch USA entered into synergistic marketing relationships with
iON My Catheter and Uroval to offer Direct to Patient Catheter Delivery
and Bulbocavernosus Testing Equipment to Physicians, respectively.

Latin America:
• This quarter Mediwatch signed agreements with distributors in Costa
Rica and Peru, and held discussions with potential new distributors
in Brazil, Argentina, and Venezuala. Pedro Medina has begun visiting
these distributors.
• Mediwatch is planning to initially enter the Latin American Market with
PSAwatch, the new Tablet Portaflow Scanner, and the next generation
Portascan+. Future product registrations are expected to be catheters,
Clinic System, and Uroval.

service distributors). He also has
a very good understanding and
knowledge of the marketplace
in each country and the
regulation needed.
• Pedro Medina will attend Hospitalar in Brazil in May, displaying the
Mediwatch equipment range as part of the US pavilion. He will be
looking for new dealers and potential joint relationships across
Latin America.
• Mediwatch signed two new distributors in Canada, and have been
working on gaining registration approvals for several new products.
• Orders have been taken in Canada for a bulk shipment of Urodyn+
flowmeters, while tenders for Portascan+ bladder scanners and Sensic
urodynamic systems are in progress.
• Mediwatch Regulatory has filed amendments to existing Health
Canada registrations to expand the Mediwatch offering in Canada to
include the Evolution, Clinic, Encompass, Portascan+ and Urodyn+
systems. Mediwatch Regulatory is in the process of registering
PSAwatch in Canada.
