What are the Specific Challenges Faced by Private Islamic Higher Education 1. Producing Quality Graduates who are able to compete in the open job market at national and international level. • 2. Producing graduates who are competent with theoretical and practical knowledge, good command in both Arabic and English language. • 3. Competing in admitting excellent students from local as well as international . 4. Equipping students with both Islamic and conventional knowledge. 5. Identifying academicians who are good both in conventional and Islamic knowledge. 6. Attracting professionals from industries to teach in universities. • 7. Competing for places in industry for students industrial training • 8. Inability to raise sufficient funds for physical and academic development. • 8. Competing with the best universities around the world. • The experience of the INSANIAH UNIVERSITY COLLEGE in overcoming some of the challenges • INSANIAH began as an Islamic institute of Higher Institution• A Pure Islamic Institution. Managing Insaniah University College • - The University Owned By The State Government of Kedah. • -The University Collects Fees From students to run and manage the University • -The University Established Holding Companies to support the funding. CREATE BRANDING -From a Pure Islamic University to an Integrated Islamic University Born at a palace known as Istana Anak Bukit near Alor Star as Tunku Abdul Halim, HIS Royal Highness was educated at Alor Merah and Titi Gajah Malay schools and Sultan Abdul Hamid College in Alor Star between 1946 and 1948. His Royal Highness went to study at Wadham College, Oxford England, and obtained a Diploma in Social Science and Public Administration., subsequently joined the Kedah Administrative Service, serving in the Alor Star district office and later, the state treasury. On 6 August 1949 His Royal Highness was appointed Raja Muda or heir to the throne, and succeeded as twentyeighth Sultan [King] of Kedah on His Royal Highness' father death on 15 July 1958. His Royal Highness was installed as Sultan at the Balai Besar in Alor Star on 20 February 1959.
