Now through Sun., Nov. 8th during regular museum hours: Pride of Place - The Local Legacy of the Potts Family
In 2015, The Borough of Pottstown celebrates its 200th anniversary. By the time of its incorporation in 1815, the town's namesake, John Potts, was long gone, but the legacy of the Potts family lived on in the region. This exhibit will highlight the contributions of later generations of the Potts family to local history - and to preserving Pottsgrove Manor itself.
The “Pride of Place” exhibit can also be viewed during a guided tour of Pottsgrove Manor during regular museum hours through
November 8th: Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sunday from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Tours begin on the
hour. The last tour of the day begins at 3:00pm. There is a $2.00 per person suggested donation for the tour.

Summer Adventure Programs with Pottstown
Parks and Recreation.
Are you ready for the Summer? Our Summer Camps are the
solution! Registration opens May 1, 2015! We are excited to
offer another summer of quality youth programming through Parks and Recreation and Pottstown School District. We have
provided accommodations for multiple registration options to meet the varied schedules of each family. Registration is
available for children ages 5 - 12 (completed Pre K and/or not to exceed entering 6th grade) for all programs. Please
see the website for the full line up of camps.
This year’s full day program will be held at Lincoln Elementary School located at 461 N. York Street. Expect fun-filled days
of sports, games, arts and crafts. Some afternoon activities include swimming at the North End Swim Club, Fountain of
Youth Spray Park, bowling, Ringing Rocks Roller Rink, a trip to the movies and visits to Pottstown’s Manatawny Green
Miniature Golf Course and more!
Registration/Fees: Enrollment is not guaranteed until registration fee is paid in full All summer adventurers pay a
one-time registration & swimming fee as indicated below
$40 single registration fee per camper, $35 sibling registration fee for each additional child registered from the same
household.
There is a onetime $35 summer swimming fee due the first week of camp for all campers.
Some field trips require additional fees.

The Summer Adventure program offers full days of summer fun Monday through Friday. We offer many options to accommodate your schedule - you can register for the full week, the same 3 days, or the same 2 days —see our pricing below. The full-day program includes breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack, two weekly weather-permitting trips to the North
End Swim Club, Adventure Program t-shirt and an afternoon field trip to a local destination usually on Friday. Our full-day
program runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional charges are applicable for early drop-off and late pick-up. Some field trips
are only available at an additional cost.
5 full days - $95 resident, $105 non-resident
3 full days - $75 resident, $78 non-resident
2 full days - $50 resident, $53 non-resident
Summer Adventure Half-Days June 22 - August 14 (no program July 3rd)
Summer Adventure also offers half-day sessions and pricing. Our half day morning program will be held at Rupert Elementary School located at 1230 South Street. You can register for half-day AM from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Our program includes breakfast and lunch as well as an Adventure Program T-Shirt.

Early Drop-off and Late Pick-up – full day program only
For an additional $10 per week, summer adventurers can be dropped off as early as 7:30 and picked up as late as 5:30pm.
Counselor in Training Program:The Counselor In Training Program is designed to train youths who have completed 7th10th grades (13-15 year olds) - who are too old for camp but too young for paid employment- to assist the Summer Adventure Camp Staff with activities, games and crafts. C.I.T. positions are seasonal, non-paid, volunteer positions and will operate with our half day programming. Placements are limited. A recommendation letter from a teacher is needed along with
the completed application to be considered for a C.I.T. position. The deadline for applications is June 10, 2015.

Mosaic Community Land Trust Community Garden’s
3rd Annual Home Garden Contest
This year, the contest is bigger and better than ever with more than $2,500 in cash and gift card prizes! Also,
we have added a Junior Gardener category along with a Neighborhood Gardening category, our goal is to get
as many people as possible excited about gardening and growing their own food and to have at least 10 entries
for every category! The contest is open to all residents living in the borough.

Free Programs for Kids
Art and Clay Academies
Sponsored by The Greater Pottstown Foundation, these
fun classes offer students ages 8-12 a chance to explore
their creativity. Art Academy is a general arts exploration
class where students work with many different mediums,
and Clay Academy teaches students how to create with
clay.
Both programs begin Friday, June 26 from 1-2:30pm. Both
programs last 8 weeks. The application deadline is June 6.
It’s Elementary
Also sponsored by The Greater Pottstown Foundation, in
this program, students ages 8-12 will combine visual art
with writing. It’s Elementary begins Thursday, June 25 from
10:30am-noon for 6 weeks. The application deadline is
June 6.
Please note:
Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
While we encourage everyone who is interested to apply,
those students who qualify for free or reduced lunch and
those who have not attended a free program with us before
will be given priority.
We will accept applications until our deadline and then
make a determination of who has been accepted into our
programs.
Summer Art Enrichment Programs
ArtFusion’s free out-of-school-time programs are funded by The Greater Pottstown Foundation.
All classes are at 254 E. High St. in downtown Pottstown. TRANSPORTATION IS NOT PROVIDED.
While the program is free, each participant is required to pay a $15 registration fee, which also entitles
them to an ArtFusion kids membership. Memberships provide discounts on classes and parties for
one year. The registration fee is due when you are notified that you were accepted into the program
and is non-refundable.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis. There are a limited number of spaces available.
