defensive and offensive excellence by earning his first Gold
Glove and Silver Slugger awards. He became the fifth Rockies
hitter to win the NL batting title, joining Andres Galarraga,
Larry Walker, Todd Helton and Matt Holliday. Gonzalez was
also first in the NL in hits and total bases, second in slugging
percentage and the sixth Rockies player to ever have a 20-20
season (20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in the same
season). Photo courtesy of Rich Clarkson & Associates (Ryan McKee)
