This a commercial campground with an arrangement with Trailhead (now Paddle Shack). There is a daily fee for parking. Another option is to park at Driftwood Park, farther east, where there is also a daily fee. Put in The shuttle vehicle will take you to Bridge Rapids, after crossing the Ottawa River at Des Joachims and the Dumoine at Grande Chute. The route goes through two ZECs, where you have to stop and pay the road access fee. This trip is several hours long, which explains the high fee. It’s not really practical to shutlle yourself. However, for a weekend trip, you can self-shuttle to the bridge at Grande Chute and set up camp on Robinson Lake. For a small group, you can fly in with Air Swisha from the dock at Des Joachims. Typical destinations are Lac Benoit (below Bridge Rapids), Lac Laforge (above), or Lac Dumoine for a longer trip.
