Inaugurated on 6th November 1958, the Italian Football Association
Technical Centre has been a great asset of the Italian Football Association for
more than 50 years. Since its first days Coverciano has been the home of the
Association’s Settore Tecnico (Technical Department). This Department is
responsible for the education and training of coaches, fitness coaches, sports
directors, physiotherapists and football physicians.
The Center’s other “core business” is that of being home to the Italian
National Teams. According to the rules of Club Italia, the Federal body
responsible for national teams, every National Team (from the Senior to the
Under 16 team, as well as all women’s teams) must go to Coverciano for
training and match preparation.
