Congratulations on the engagement!
Very special couples have chosen the Heceta Head Lightstation as their wedding destination and
we are happy that you are considering us for your wedding. The 120 year old Lighthouse and
Keeper’s Quarters offer amazing views of the Oregon Coast and at the same time it is a home
where family and friends can feel comfortable and relaxed. Although every couple has been lured
to Heceta Head for these reasons, each wedding we have experienced has been unique. We appreciate each family’s diversity and look forward to joining in your celebration!
Along the way to the big day we will be here to answer any of your questions, offer advice and help
you find all of the resources you need to help with your wedding planning. I think you will find our
vendor list extremely valuable for it has saved many couples a lot of time and energy finding the
best local services. If it’s not on our list we will help you find it.
Included in this email are some details about weddings at the lightstation and a sample of the cuisine we offer. Let me know if we can offer more menu samples. Also included is a list of items you
may need to rent from an outside source. Depending on the type of wedding you are planning
some of this information may not apply. Before we reserve the Lightstation for your event we will
send a quote for a specific day, time and size of wedding. We look forward to discussing your wedding plans!
Lightfully Yours,
Steven Bursey

The Ceremony
There are several options for the location of your
wedding ceremony at the Lightstation. You can
choose to have your ceremony at the Keeper’s
House on the west lawn, where the sun sets each
night behind the rocks and the lighthouse stands
watch. Some choose to have their ceremony on
the beach below the station, where the stately
Cape Creek Bridge spans the hillside. Others
find the Keeper’s House parlors an intimate atmosphere to exchange vows. With special arrangements with the Oregon State Parks groups of ten people or less can choose
a ceremony on the grounds at the Lighthouse. To obtain a permit or ask further questions about wedding ceremonies on the beach or lighthouse tower grounds email, [email protected], or call 541.547.3416.

or buffet dinner options.
The Heceta Head Lightstation caters wedding receptions for
up to 150 people—menus and cost vary depending upon the
season and your menu choices. There is a catering minimum of
$40.00 per person, most of our catered events average $50-$60

Bed and Breakfast Rooms
Most wedding and reception reservations require rental of
the 6 bed and breakfast rooms on the day of the wedding.
We do not require a two night stay for a Saturday wedding but we do highly recommend renting at least a few of
the rooms the night before so that you may have an early
check-in on your
wedding day. For
smaller groups or ceremony only options you
may
be able to limit the number of rooms rented –
this
will depend on the day and time of the wedding.
The Keeper’s House can accommodate up to 14
guests for over night lodging for $1680.00 +
lodging tax. The Bed and Breakfast rooms range
from
$209.00 to $315.00 during the peak season.

A site fee is charged for any event to take place at the Lightstation beyond hosting
guests at the bed and breakfast. This fee is based on the number of guests attending.

enjoyed our stay at Heceta Head. Your gracious service and delicious food
plus of course the wonderful keeper's home itself, made for the perfect wedding. All our guests have commented about how special this wedding felt- so
