Our staff have over 47 years experience in manufacturing and are committed to continuous improvement and innovation. The Sandford range of products is diverse but complementary covering products such as PVC gumboots, aprons, inner soles, Chics, Aztec and Hunter Shoes. We stand behind our brand; it has represented quality footwear for generations. Our products are guaranteed against manufacture defects and we will repair or replace any faulty items, at our discretion and of course bearing in mind your convenience. SUSTAINABILITY: Being a down to earth Kiwi company, Sandford Industries pride ouselves in our sustainability programme. We understand that a lot of waste product is created during the manufacturing process and we have done what we can to minimise the effect it has on the environment. Sandford Industries currently has three recycling processes in place; one for all cardboard waste, one for our plastics and our major one being for PVC. When manufacturing our gumboots waste is created from the purge in the union machine, gumboot seconds and apron offcuts. Sandford Industries sends this waste PVC to Matta Products to use in their production of safety matting used in children’s playgrounds. For 18 years Matta Products have used recycled PVC to create these mats. We also have the ability to introduce a gumboot recycling program into your food processing plant and would be happy to assist you in setting one up. If you are interested then please contact us. 4 COMMANDO GUMBOOTS Sandford Industries’ CommandoTM gumboots are a high performance range designed and constructed to meet the demands of the industrial sector with the added advantage of a cleated sole for the agriculture field. Our CommandoTM industrial gumboots contain an antimicrobial additive which is effective against a wide range of fungal and bacterial organisms. The active ingredient is highly compatible with the polymeric composition of the gumboots and is resistant to leaching by water, aqueous acids, alkalis, soaps, detergents, bloods and animal fats. Our gumboots also come in a wide range of colours to suit both your work environment and Health and Safety requirements. For the family Sandford Industries’ has created a Nipper, Youth and Women’s gumboot that are made from a high performance PVC, designed and constructed to meet the demands of everyday life. It is our intention to be able to provide the best range of gumboot in the market at the best value. 5 COMMANDO™ TOUGH The Commando Tough’s new sole compound is manufactured in Christchurch and purposefully designed to withstand the toughest environments in the New Zealand food processing industry. We guarantee that the sole on our Tough’s will last 30% longer* than any other New Zealand made gumboot.
