ORIGINAL SKEGNESS PIER BENCH ( to be sold at 1.00 pm )
Superb original cast iron Bench from the Skegness pier dating back to 1881,
Being 8 feet in length, with cast iron ends and sweeping arms supported by
upturned serpents, The detailed cast iron back having a central shield with the
inscription ‘S P Co Ltd 1881’, with raised decoration to the top rail of 2 serpents
wrapped around tridents. The seat being made from 5 heavy sections of oak
planks.
