OUR SHIPS
Our brochure showcases MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia (two brilliant
sisters introduced in 2008 and 2009 and the largest ships ever built by a
European owner), MSC Musica, one of the most beautiful ships at sea, and
the glorious new MSC Magnifica, debuting in spring 2010. All reflect not only
splendid design and extravagant interiors, but the highest ecological and
environmental standards.

Breeze-washed pool decks are just made for
refreshing dips, hot-tubbing and peoplewatching over sunset cocktails. Or perhaps
you’re up to the cavalcade of events and activities master-minded for all ages: language,

10 day/8 night Eastern Mediterranean cruise from Venice to Bari, Katakolon, Izmir, Istanb
Italian Scenes, Grecian Dreams and
Includes airfare from Toronto, all transfers, 7-night cruise and 1 night in Venice
Cruising is all about fabulous, gleaming new ships, and 92,400 ton MSC Magnifica, the latest extravaganza from
MSC Cruises, is no exception. She debuts just in time for “Med season” 2010. Innovative and spectacularly
individualistic, MSC Magnifica is thoroughly of the moment in every respect, fostering the cruise lines’ “wow”
factor, great food karma, sensuous interiors, and life’s finer things in abundance. Reflecting MSC’s award-winning
stewardship of marine environments, she delivers the highest ecological standards, with every detail planned to
protect the sea, the Venetian Lagoon. She’s a dreamboat.
A living museum with a timeless legacy
Few cities claim a heritage of artistic expression to equal that of Venice, where public structures comprise vivid,
visible art and architecture, standing as testament to the city’s history. The Doge’s Palace in St. Mark’s Square,
for example, is a majestic, dramatic panorama, a Gothic work founded in the 9th century and once the official
residence of each ruler (“doge”) of Venice. In counterpoint, Venice has an enviable cosmopolitan, café lifestyle and
a distinct international flair. Come, get lost in the labyrinth of amazing shops and streets leading you through
magnificence unbounded!
This itinerary is also available for 9 Days/7 Nights. See page 12 for details.
Eastern Mediterranean - 4 Countries! 5 Ports!
Eons of domination have left their mark on Bari’s Old City. Katakolon is a delightful, typical small Greek town and
gateway to ancient Olympia. Izmir, on the Aegean Coast, was settled millennia ago – today it’s Turkey’s most
westernized city – booming, cosmopolitan, liberal. Istanbul is a staggering union of palaces, bazaars and exquisite
mosques. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Mosque of Suleiman will imprint on your mind forever (so will Topkapi
Palace!). The Grand Bazaar offers 4000 shops! After a glorious day at sea, you’ll arrive in Dubrovnik, a beautifully
preserved medieval, walled city on Croatia’s Dalmation Coast.

At our press time, MSC Magnifica was under
construction, and photography of her facilities and
accommodation was not available. However, as she
is sister ship to MSC Musica (and to MSC Poesia and
MSC Orchestra - two other MSC ships well known in
the Canadian cruise market), we have made a representative selection of images from those ships to
provide insight on the quality and style you can
expect from the brand new MSC Magnifica.
Stateroom schematics are also representative.

use the provocative location as a set e.g. Mel
Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ”.

Katakolon, Greece
By most standards a small fishing village,
Katakolon is the gate to Olympia, birthplace of
the original Olympic Games. In ancient Greece
competitions were so hallowed that even during war, a halt was called to the bloodshed. The
site is still dominated by the ruins of the Doric
Temple of Zeus, in whose honour the games
were staged. The sacred flame is set alight
here every Olympic year.
Izmir’s history dates to 3000 B.C. Homer was
born here and it is a fascinating city – the third
largest in Turkey, and its second most important port. Set on fantastic coastline, the city is
Turkey’s most Mediterranean in style and content. Enjoy the maze of tiny streets filled with
shops and covered stalls. Izmir is near fabled
Ephesus, the showpiece of Aegean archaeology and one of the greatest ancient city reconstructions in history. A do-not-miss excursion!

19th centuries. Time for shopping.
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Istanbul, Turkey
The medieval, walled city of Dubrovnik is situated on the Dalmation Coast. Although severely
damaged by an earthquake in the 1600’s,
Dubrovnik managed to preserve its narrow cobbled streets, beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and
Baroque churches, monasteries, palaces and
fountains. It is now the focus of a major
restoration programme co-ordinated by
UNESCO.

Istanbul, Turkey
Byzantium, Constantinople or Istanbul – call it

MSC Musica
Italy, Greece, Croatia
10 day/8 night Eastern Mediterranean cruise
from Venice to Bari, Katakolon, Santo
MSC Musica. Always seen in the ve
Includes airfare from Toronto, all transfers, 7-night cruise and 1 night in Venice
The ship chosen for this fabulous adventure is the stunning 92,400 ton MSC Musica, where every day is un bel
giorno – a beautiful day! She is an extravagantly beautiful, lavish and entertaining vessel and offers a host of the
latest on board facilities and amenities, ensuring every comfort to satisfy the most discriminating client.
The perfect combination of innovation and tradition, her hallmark Italian style and panache marked her as the stylistic forerunner for future MSC Cruises ships. Your course has been charted, and you’re headed for a turquoise
world a million miles from reality – on board one of the loveliest ships in the Mediterranean.
Venice is a feast for neon weary eyes…
Few destinations offer a more dramatic and majestic panorama than this worldly city whose style and personality
have made it one of the most beloved in the world. Watch while jauntily attired gondoliers assist their excited
passengers aboard their sleek gondolas as they head to the palazzo-lined canals. Sip a Compari while gazing
upon the Palace of the Doges in St. Mark’s Square (no cars, scooters or bikes here). Stroll the narrow, twisty little
streets with a surprise around every corner. Browse the shop-lined lanes for the perfect souvenir, Italian fashion,
shoes, and world famous art glass. For all its popularity, the charm and beauty of Venice remains unspoiled and it
is rare when the city doesn’t exceed one’s wildest expectations!
This itinerary is also available for 9 Days/7 Nights. See page 22 for details.
Eastern Mediterranean - 3 Countries! 7 Ports!
Eons of domination have left their mark on Bari’s Old City. Katakolon is gateway to ancient Olympia. In Santorini, the showy hillside towns boast enough jewellery and high end stores to satisfy even die-hard shoppers while the fairy-tale Greek isle of
Mykonos offers superb beaches, and a sophisticated café and nightlife. Athens brings the Parthenon, shops of the ”Plaka”, and
museums galore! Corfu is an island of arcades, boulevards, heavenly beaches and unique architecture. The UNESCO World
Heritage City of Dubrovnik is all magnificent walls, battlements and medieval courtyards.
For a terrific pre-cruise holiday, be sure to add our optional
coach tour ‘Dolce Vita in Tuscany’. Page 50.

Venice, Italy
Katakolon, Greece
Jewel-like Venice is a feast for neon-weary
eyes; a city of supreme beauty and charm, with
its art and exotic aura surpassed only by its
magnificent palazzi. Venice is comprised of
over100 islands, all linked by bridges, and walking is the only way to reach much of the city.
Rich with museums and galleries, lovely restaurants, shops and jaunty gondoliers plying the
canals, Venice easily exceeds expectations.
Katakolon is gateway to Olympia, birthplace of
the Olympic Games. Never a town, always a
sanctuary, Olympia was a national shrine to the
Greeks and contained only buildings associated
with games and worship. Once home to treasures
such as art, monuments, altars, theatres,
statues and temples (the most famous of which
is the Temple of Zeus) here, each Olympic year,
the still sacred flame is set alight.
Sightseeing in Venice is applicable to guests
selecting MSC Musica’s Option 2 itinerary or to
Option 1 itinerary guests extending their stay in
Italy (pre- or post cruise)
Katakolon tours
Bari, Italy
The city enjoys a perfect balance between past
and future highlighted by the historic old town
and the major shopping and nightlife district of
Borgo Muattiano. The Basilica of San Nicola

Santa Claus!).

Oia Village – 4 hours

Fira, Santorini’s main town. Beautiful and

free time to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean
sun and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Santorini
Mykonos, Greece
The most cosmopolitan of all the Greek Isles,
Mykonos is every bit as entertaining as it
strives to be! The island brims with golden
beaches, seaside tavernas and airy cafes, chic
boutiques, elegant restaurants and a spirited
nightlife. Characteristic cube-shaped, small
white houses dot the landscape, dazzling in the
sunlight, facades broken only by the intense
colours of their doors and shutters.
Alberobello – 3 hours
By bus to Alberobello for a guided walking tour
of the “trulli”, famous cylindrical houses topped
by pointed domes (a UNESCO World Heritage
site). Bus tour of Bari during return to ship.
Tours are not offered on Mykonos.
Enjoy your visit.
Santorini, Greece
The crescent-shaped legacy of a volcanic
eruption that shook the Aegean in 1500 BC.
Fira, the island’s main town, is famed for its
sensational views. Built on the rim of the
submerged crater, Fira has a huge social scene
and narrow, winding streets are lined with
restaurants, cafes and nightspots filled with
visitors from the world over.
Greek
Also available: Excursion in the Caldera;
Transfer to Perivolos Beach.
A Taste of Ancient Greece – 3.5 hours
By coach to Olympia to visit the site including
the Temple of Zeus, the gymnasium, the hippodrome and stadium (once capable of holding
40,000 spectators). Then to the fishing village
of Katakolon, a snack and a typical folkloric
show.
City Tour – 3 hours
A guided panoramic tour of the city including
a visit to the Basilica of Saint Nicola and an
exterior view of the Norman-Swabian Castle,
built in 1130 AD. Free time for shopping.
The “Sassi” in Matera – 4 hours
By bus to Matera, to see the “Sassi” caves
(a UNESCO World Heritage site) inhabited from
Neolithic times to the 1950’s. Evocative and
surreal, the caves were used by Mel Gibson in
his film “Passion of the Christ.”

Corfu, Greece
Dubrovnik, Croatia
Immortalized in Homer’s Odyssey, Corfu is
renowned for its glorious beaches, striking
natural beauty and rich blend of Venetian,
Neopolitan and Georgian-style architecture.
The island reflects many of the characteristics
of its varied ruling nations, yet manages to
remain decidedly Greek. The old town offers
Italianate buildings and a boulevard style
reminiscent of Paris.
Dubrovnik boasts one of the largest and best
preserved fortification systems in Europe. The
construction of these medieval walls, which
surround the city, stretched from the 11th to the
17th centuries. Located on a peninsula, the city
is considered one of the most beautiful in
Europe, and a visit here is nothing less than
a step back in time.
Corfu beach
Few destinations rival the cultural wealth and intriguing sightseeing of Athens. Perhaps best
known is the Parthenon, the great temple which
lords over the city from the Acropolis. The city
also hosts a large and diverse selection of
important museums. In the exciting restaurants
and clubs in Plaka District, society is out
in full, with visitors and Athenians gathered
together to drink, dine and dance within an
atmosphere of infectious camaraderie.

Elizabeth of Austria. Glorious gardens overlook
the sea. Free time in the lively town of Corfu.

MSC Fantasia
Italy, Tunisia, Spain, France
12 day/10 night Western Mediterranean cruise
from Naples to Palermo, Tunis, Palma de Mallor
A Banquet for the Senses. Italian from
Includes airfare from Toronto, all transfers, 7-night cruise, 1 night in Sorrento & 2 nights in Rome
Back in the ‘50’s, in his huge hit “That’s Amore”, crooner Dean Martin
compared love to pasta fazool and big-a-pizza pies! Well, we can’t promise you love, but when it comes to romantic atmospheres and pizza you’ll
find both on MSC Fantasia! Splendid in design, just ideal for cruisers of
all stripes seeking ‘la dolce vita’, life on board MSC Fantasia is indeed a
cabaret. She has an ever present sense of spirit and tradition, and brims
with every conceivable pleasure, facility, and amenity to enrich the lives of
her guests. Just imagine glorious, sunny days without obligation sailing
between remarkable ports on a ship defined by sensational interiors, high
wattage entertainment and a harvest of enthusiastic service.
A Walk Through Time…
The Roman Empire has influenced design, engineering, architecture and
romance for centuries. St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums
house enormous collections of art and the frescoed ceilings of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. From the Colosseum and the Roman Forum to
Bernini, Raphael and Caravaggio, masterpieces, sculpture, palaces and
fountains define the Eternal City. Join the teeming crowds at the Spanish
Steps, throw a coin in Trevi Fountain, enjoy the simply stupendous shopping, piazzas, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.
Western Mediterranean - 4 Countries! 6 Ports!
One of Italy’s most popular cities, venerable Palermo combines classical, medieval and baroque influences into a glorious visual
package. Tunis brings a blend of modern city, souks, medinas and ancient Carthaginian ruins. Palma de Mallorca is all gorgeous beach,

Scooters zip through traffic, alleys lead to
tempting trattorias serving pasta and rich Italian wines! Across the bay lies the Isle of Capri,
paradise gateway for the rich since Roman
times. Pompeii is also nearby, destroyed by the
monumental wrath of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
Due to sailing times, sightseeing is not available
to guests cruising from Naples. Guests extending their stay in Italy (pre- or post cruise); please
inquire.
Palermo (Sicily) Italy
Once home to Phoenician traders, Roman
patricians, Arab emirs, Norman kings and
Holy Roman emperors, Palermo has played an
important role throughout much of its existence.
It is over 2700 years old and combines a touch
of the classical with a taste of the medieval
– and the baroque! As Sicily was once ruled
from Palermo as a Fatimid emirate and then
as a Norman kingdom, expect intriguing
labyrinths, palazzi, Punic walls, medieval
fortresses, a Norman palace, smart cafes,
and outdoor markets evoking Arab souks.
Palermo tours
Palermo & Monreale – 4 Hours
By coach through the main points of historical
interest including the Cathedral, built in typical
Norman/Arab style, and the Martorana Church.
Following the Palermo tour, you’ll travel to
nearby Monreale to enjoy a walking tour including a visit to their famous Cathedral. Free time
for shopping.
The Valley of the Temples –
8 Hours Including Lunch
The Valley of the Temples (A UNESCO World
Heritage site) is near Agrigento about two
hours from Palermo. As you visit the site you’ll
notice all Doric temples face east, standard criteria for both Greek and Roman temples which
required that the statues of gods be illuminated
by the rising sun.
Cefalu – 4 Hours
A captivating seaside town an hour from
Palermo, Cefalu has a beach, medieval streets,
and many little spots for dining and shopping.
All under the ever present gaze of the NormanArab-Byzantine Cathedral, Duomo del Cristo
Pantocratore, one of the greatest churches in
southern Europe. You’ll visit the cathedral and
also have free time for shopping or spotting
other town sights on your own.
Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Europeans flock to Majorca’s simply fantastic
beaches, which exist in remarkable counterpoint to the splendid cathedral, historic sights,
excellent shopping and very trendy, very cool
dining and club life found in the capital city of
Palma. Hugely popular with “scenesters” and
celebrities. You’ll love it.

Tunis takes you by surprise with all the hustle
and bustle of a modern Mediterranean city.
Steel and glass blend with the baroque, and
palm trees look down on chic boutiques,
gardens and cafes. As you enter the narrow
streets of the Medina, centuries slip away as
small shops with treasures of brass, olive
wood, leather, carpets, pottery and bright
garments spill out on the street - the very
essence of exotic. Tunis is also the gateway
to the Roman and Punic ruins of Carthage.

MSC Splendida
Italy, France, Spain, Tunisia, Malta
11 day/9 night Western Mediterranean cruise
from Rome to Genoa, Marseille, Barcelon
Memories everlasting on a ship of dr
Includes airfare from Toronto, all transfers, 7-night cruise and 2 nights in Rome
There’s plenty of ship per person on board MSC Splendida: She’s longer than the
Eiffel Tower laid horizontally and has more useable floor space than The Palace of
Versailles. And just about as much splendour!
MSC Splendida boasts the very best of Italian design and a seamless blend of guest
comfort and extraordinary environmental technology.
Whatever the moment, you’ll love every ounce of the ship’s spectacular 137, 936 tons.
MSC Splendida is the very essence of “Beautiful. Passionate. Italian.” and a gleaming
reflection of the highest standards. Every dollar invested shows in her multitude of
wonderfully styled public rooms – including the elegant “portal to peace”, MSC Aurea
Spa, with over 17,000 square feet of adult pampering. Kids have their own 4,300
square foot playground with a pool, waterslide, plus a dedicated disco for teens.
Rome is a Symphony for the Soul…
And everything it’s cracked up to be. In Rome you can visit much of the world’s most
celebrated architecture while at the same time living “la dolce vita” amid piazzas,
squares and infinite restaurants. Major sights and experiences include The Vatican,
Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. The glorious Piazza
Navona, anchored by Bernini’s masterpiece, “The Fountain of the Four Rivers”, is the
perfect background for a marvellous photo of you! Settle into a colourful little outdoor
café, perhaps enjoy a creamy gelato, and toast each other with a piquant limoncello
while enjoying Rome’s magnificent passing parade.
This itinerary is also available for 9 Days/7 Nights.
See page 42 for details.
Western Mediterranean - 5 Countries! 6 Ports!
In Italy’s Genoa, grandiose and distinctive, you’ll be immersed in history, elegant streets and promenades, while in French Marseille, The Old Port, urban parks and Byzantine cathedrals entice.
Barcelona is confection of sights, including the “Ramblas” promenade and Gaudi’s Familia
Sagrada Cathedral. The modern town of Tunis stands in counterpoint to exotic souks, medinas
and ancient Carthaginian ruins. The turrets and ramparts of Malta present an awesome panorama
in La Valletta’s harbour, while Sicily’s Messina, once port of departure for Crusader knights, offers a
majestic reconstructed Norman cathedral plus an optional tour to spectacular Taormina.
For a terrific pre-cruise holiday, add our optional coach tour
‘Essence of Italian Art & Wine Country’. Page 52

Helpful Information
YOUR CRUISE INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS…
Your cruise includes airfare, on board accommodation,
meals, entertainment and activities. Your cruise does
not include items of a personal nature, i.e. gratuities,
shore excursions, telephone calls, faxes, internet
access, spa treatments, salon services, photographs,
laundry, dry-cleaning or valet service, etc. Wine, liquor
and other beverages are not included.
CLIMATE AND TEMPERATURES
Temperatures in the Mediterranean from April through
October run, on average, between 18 & 31 degrees
Celsius (between 64 & 88 degrees Fahrenheit).
ATTIRE
You’ll feel comfortable in casual resort wear including
light cotton clothing, swimwear and a beach robe for
covering swimwear when indoors. Sweaters and
light weight jackets are a good idea. Tennis shoes
or low-heeled walking shoes are recommended for
exploring the ports of call. While most shore excursions do not have dress codes, some tours specifically prohibit shorts and sleeveless shirts and require
ladies to wear knee-length skirts or slacks. No jeans,
t-shirts, shorts or bare feet please after 6:00 p.m. on
the ship. Cocktail dresses and dressy pantsuits for
women and a suit or jacket and tie for men are appropriate for formal evenings (two formal nights on
7- night cruises). On other evenings, casual resort attire is the norm.
SHORE EXCURSIONS
You may wish to pre-book your shore excursions as
space may be limited once on board.
Visit www.msccruiseusa.com

Cruises’ ships and are invited to participate in three
supervised clubs with age-appropriate activities.
The Mini Club caters to youngsters 3 to 6. The Junior

designed for those 13 to 17. Activities and facilities

family (2adults/2 kids) is required in cash or traveller’s cheques. When purchases exceed deposit, it
must be replenished prior to charges continuing.
If your deposit exceeds the amount of your
purchases, the difference will be refunded at cruise
completion. Small amounts of European/US currencies & traveller’s cheques can be exchanged at the
Purser’s Office. Commission charges may apply.

Terms & conditions
For purposes of these Terms & Conditions the words “you,” “your,” “passenger” and “cardholder” refer to each
person who books or otherwise purchases or receives goods and services
arranged through Sunquest. The words
“Sunquest,” “our” and “we” refer to
Thomas Cook Canada Inc., its parents,
subsidiaries, affiliates and agents.
Sunquest makes arrangements with
suppliers who provide travel services
such as air travel, cruises, hotels, buses,
sightseeing, car rental or other activities
included in your booking. The travel
services are subject to the conditions
imposed by these suppliers, and their liability may, in turn, be limited by their
tariffs, conditions of carriage and international conventions and arrangements.
Sunquest does not own, manage, operate, or control any vehicle, hotel, resort,
cruise ship, restaurant, or other supplier
of services, and is not responsible for
their acts or omissions.
Please read and ensure you understand
these Terms & Conditions before booking your vacation. When you book or
otherwise receive services through Sunquest, you are accepting and agreeing
to the Terms & Conditions listed on
these pages.
How To Make A Booking: Simply call or
visit your travel agent and they will contact
Sunquest for reservations.
Payment Requirements: Where a vacation is booked 45 days or less before the
departure date – full payment is due immediately. Otherwise, a non-refundable deposit of $450.00 per person plus applicable
insurance is due immediately on booking
and the balance or final payment is due no
less than 45 days prior to departure date.
The deposit is due at the time of booking
and is non-refundable. Sunquest reserves
the right to cancel a booking where any
payment is not received within 5 days of its
due date.
Credit Cards: When a credit card is used
to confirm and pay for a booking, you, the
passenger, and/or the cardholder give consent to Sunquest for the card’s use.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel
your booking, you must notify your travel
agent immediately. Cancellation charges
are calculated based on the date that
Sunquest receives notice of cancellation.
Cancellation charges:
45 days or more prior to departure
date full deposit
44 days to 31 days prior to departure
date 50% of total price*
30 days prior to departure date to
any time including on and after departure date 100% of total price*
* Total price is all money due and/or
paid to Sunquest.
The cancellation charge compensates
Sunquest for damages arising from cancellation, including, among other things,
pre-payment made on booking of travel and
other services and administration costs
involved in processing a cancellation. By
booking a vacation you agree that the
cancellation charge is a genuine estimate of
damages to Sunquest of any cancellation
and is not a penalty. Sunquest may arrange
for the resale of any holidays you cancel
without refund to you.
Changes to a Booking: Changes to a confirmed booking can only be made prior to
45 days before departure. An administration fee of $25.00 per person plus GST will
be charged for each change. You will also
be responsible for any price increase on
goods and services from the original reservation date to the date of change. No price
adjustments shall be made if the price for
such goods and services has decreased. If
a change is made to the room occupancy,
including the addition to or reduction of the
number of occupants, you will be responsible for any resulting increase in price. Name
change requests may be denied due to
hotel policy and conditions.
Requests for changes less than 45 days before departure will not be accepted and will
make the booking subject to full cancellation charges. Name changes or name corrections within this period will be treated as
a cancellation and rebooking.
Special Requests: Sunquest cannot
guarantee specific requests such as
room location, adjoining rooms, bed
preference, in-flight meal requirements,
skycots, etc. On board dining requests
for a given table size or early or late seating will be accepted at the time of booking. While Sunquest will attempt to
advise service providers of such requests, it cannot be held responsible if
such requests cannot be fulfilled or if
local surcharges are applied.
Dietary Needs: Special dietary requests
for vegetarian, diabetic, low-fat, lowsodium, or low-cholesterol diets can be
arranged at the time you make your cruise
reservation. As MSC Cruises requires the
details of your request not later than 14
days prior to your sailing date, please ask
your travel agent to inform Sunquest of
your requirements at the time of booking.
Children: Unless otherwise stated,
children’s prices are restricted to those
2-11 years of age at the time of departure
and only when sharing a room with 2 full
paying adults.
Infants: Passengers under the age of 2 for
the duration of the holiday are considered
infants and will fly free of charge (1 infant
per adult allowed). A reservation, however,
is required for each infant. Please note that
infants are not assigned a seat and are not
allotted baggage allowance. If an infant
turns 2 years of age during the vacation, an
airline ticket must be purchased for his or
her travel to and from the destination.
Customs & Immigration: Customs and/or
immigration officials can deny a person
entry into their country at their own discretion. A previous criminal record could be an
obstacle in international travel. Sunquest
cannot be held responsible for denied entry
under any circumstances.
Tickets:
1) Tickets are available 30 days prior to
flight departure. All tickets and vouchers
are produced in electronic format and
will be forwarded to your travel agent.
E-documents must be presented along
with proper identification (see section on
Documentation) at check-in for departure
flight, return flight, and for other
purchased services such as hotel
accommodation, a cruise and car
rentals. Please review for accuracy.
2) For bookings made within 72 hours of
flight departure, e-tickets will be available
from our representative at our airport
counter prior to check-in.
3) All e-tickets are valid only for the flight
purchased and cannot be exchanged for
other flights or departure times.
4) If an e-ticket is lost in destination, there
will be a $25.00 administration fee
charged for a replacement. Please contact your local Sunquest representative.
Documentation: It is solely your responsibility to obtain, at your own expense,
all the documentation required by relevant government authorities and the
cruise line for the purpose of your holiday. Required documentation may vary
depending on citizenship status. Special
documentation may be required for minors travelling alone; for children who
have a different surname than the adults
who accompany them; or for single parents travelling with children. Prior to departure, you should check with your
travel agent and/or the relevant consulate and the cruise line about what
documentation is required. A valid passport is required. For information on the
Canadian Government Passenger Protect program, please visit www.passengerprotect.gc.ca. Landed immigrants
without Canadian citizenship or a Permanent Resident Card may be denied
boarding upon return to Canada. In the
event that a passenger does not possess the documentation required by the
cruise line, airline or government authorities for each port of call, passage or
entry to the destination may be refused.
If passage or entry is refused, Sunquest
will not be held liable and will not issue
any refund.
Flights and Carriers: All flight times, flight
itineraries, carriers and aircraft types are
subject to change with or without notice.
The carriers and Sunquest also reserve the
right to add en route stops. It is recommended that you contact the airline within
24 hours of departure to confirm your departure time. It is also recommended that
you arrive at the airport 3 to 4 hours prior to
departure to allow sufficient time for checkin and security clearance. Airline cut-off
times vary between 45 and 60 minutes.
Please check with the airline directly. You
agree that Sunquest cannot be held responsible or liable if you miss your flight or
are denied boarding. If you book air only,
you must provide your contact number at
your destination to your travel agent and
the local Sunquest representative so you
may be advised of any changes to your return flight. Failure to do so may result in you
missing your flight and you agree that
Sunquest cannot be held responsible or liable
for any resulting expenses. Carriage and
service performed and tickets issued are
subject to the terms referred to on such
tickets, the rules relating to liability by the
Warsaw Convention (as amended), and
these Terms & Conditions. Sunquest makes
arrangements with Skyservice, Westjet,
CanJet, Air Transat & Alitalia. Air transportation complaints are solely the responsibility
of the airline concerned. You agree that Sunquest cannot be held responsible or liable for
expenses, lost wages or missed vacation time
due to flight time changes and/or delays.
Baggage: Each passenger is entitled to
carry 2 standard-sized pieces of checked
luggage. On flights to Italy, Alitalia
allows 46kg (2 pieces not to exceed 23kg
each). Magnifica class allows 64kg (2
pieces not to exceed 32kg each). There
may be a charge for excess baggage.
Please contact the airlines for more details. Sunquest reminds cruise guests that
cabin storage is limited. Please contact
the airline for more details. All baggage remains at your own risk throughout the trip.
Due to security restrictions, liquids and
gels, as well as many other items, are not
permitted in carry-on luggage. Prescription
medications should be kept in the original
container and packed in carry-on luggage.
Please check with the airline prior to departure for the most up-to-date regulations in
order to avoid items being confiscated at
security. In the event that your baggage is
delayed at your destination or upon your return home, please contact the airline representative before leaving the airport. Failure
to do so will invalidate your claim. Independent contractors over which we have
no control perform baggage handling and
we cannot assume responsibility for loss of,
or damage to, baggage or other possessions. Due to the carrier’s limit of liability,
please do not check valuable items such as
jewellery and cameras. Please also limit the
valuables (including electronic equipment)
you take with you on holiday and use the
safety deposit boxes provided at hotels or
on cruise ships. Please ensure you have
adequate insurance to cover your belongings throughout your holiday.
Connecting Flights: If you have a connecting
flight, you should allow ample time
(minimum 3 hours or overnight) between
flights. Sunquest cannot accept any
responsibility for additional charges
incurred for airfares or other expenses
due to missed flights, irregular air
operations or flight time changes.
Sunquest Representative
& Problem Handling:
A Sunquest representative will meet
passengers upon arrival at your destination.
If you have any questions, queries or
problems while in destination or on board
your cruise, you must contact the local
representative, cruise line representative,
on board cruise staff, transfer agent or
hotel management directly as applicable.
Failure to report your concerns may
preclude your right to a claim.
Travel Insurance: It is strongly recommended that all travellers obtain adequate insurance coverage to protect
themselves should they be obliged to
cancel a holiday due to health problems
or unforeseen circumstances. You may
purchase such insurance from your travel
agent at the time of booking. You may also
wish to purchase medical insurance. You
agree that Sunquest shall not be responsible or liable for health problems that may
arise or become aggravated while travelling
or at your destination. Standards of medical
care may differ from those in Canada.
Treatment may be expensive, payment in
advance may be required and provincial
health care coverage may be limited.

Sunquest for the cancellation.
Alteration of Services: Advertised facilities may occasionally be modified or unavailable. We will advise you or your travel

cruise cancellation, unexpected maintenance problems or due to market conditions. Major changes may include change
of destination, change of departure or

itinerary, change of hotel, ship or accommodation booked. In these circumstances,
Sunquest reserves the right to substitute
hotel and other arrangements for arrangements of comparable value without notice

allowed by the Canadian Transportation
Agency. Every effort will be made to advise
your travel agent of any price increase at
least 15 days prior to your departure date.
In the event of an error in published rates,
you will be given the option to accept the
change or to cancel for a full refund of all
monies received by Sunquest.
Hotel Ratings: Star ratings are our opinion
and can differ from official gradings. Our
rating is relative to general standards in
each destination so our four-star hotel in
one destination can be different to our fourstar hotel in another. Ratings are based on
many factors including hotel location and
facilities as well as feedback from our
customers and staff.
Special Needs Passengers: We welcome
passengers with special needs. Any special
services required such as separate transfers must be advised to Sunquest at time of
booking so we can determine the availability and cost of such services prior to confirming the booking. Although
reasonable attempts will be made to
provide the services requested, Sunquest
does not guarantee that the airport, transfer
vehicles and/or accommodations while in
destination will be wheelchair accessible.
Facilities for special needs passengers in
hotels, and on cruise ships may be limited.
Services required for a passenger with
special needs may not be available and/or
subject to local surcharges or advance payments. Please check with your travel agent
prior to booking.
Facilities & Services: Cruise Lines and
Hotels may curtail or alter some facilities
without notice, usually for purpose of ongoing maintenance and improvement. You
agree that Sunquest shall not be held responsible or liable if, due to the acts or
omissions of others, some services, bonus
features or facilities described in this
brochure, cease to be available or are not
working. The behaviour of other guests and
the cancellation of services for any reason
are beyond Sunquest’s control. All efforts
are made to ensure accuracy at the time of
printing this brochure. Descriptions and
photographs are representational only and
are not a guarantee that everything will be
exactly as depicted at the destination. You
agree that Sunquest shall not be held responsible or liable for modifications that
can take place after publication, including
damage or beach erosion due to storms or
tidal conditions. Services such as à la carte
dinners, daily activities programs, spa services and bonus features are on a firstcome, first-serve basis and may require
reservations. Certain services and activities
may be withdrawn by the hotel or cruise
line for reasons such as weather conditions
and number of participants. All withdrawn
features are non-refundable. Spa services
are at additional charge unless otherwise
stated. Room upgrade bonus features are
subject to space availability at check-in and
cannot be guaranteed prior to your arrival.
Bonus features do not have a cash value.
Hotel Check-in & Check-out: Due to hotel
housekeeping requirements, regardless of
flight times, hotel check-in is normally after
3:00 pm on the day of arrival. Hotel checkout time is normally 12 noon. All-inclusive
privileges begin at check-in and end at
check-out.
Unused Services: No refunds or adjustments will be made to you for portions of
your vacation not taken or used.
Prices & Cost Increases: All prices,
unless otherwise stated, are per person
based on two adults sharing one hotel
room or cruise cabin. All prices advertised
in this brochure are in Canadian dollars and
do not include GST (where applicable) and
taxes. The prices advertised in this
brochure are based on fixed costs at the
time of print. These costs are dependant on
fuel costs, rate of exchange and/or other
factors. Sunquest reserves the right to increase the price. Should the price increase
be greater than 7%, you have the right to
cancel the contract for travel services and
obtain a refund of all monies paid to Sunquest, unless the price increase is the result
of government taxation or fuel surcharge
Notice of Claims: You must notify Sunquest,
in writing by registered mail, of any claim
you may have, or claim to have, against
Sunquest, within 30 days from the event
giving rise to the claim. Should you not file
a written complaint with Sunquest within
30 days from the end of your vacation, you
will be presumed to be satisfied with the
services received and to have waived any
and all claims that you may have had
against Sunquest. Sunquest will not respond to any claims or demands made
after the expiration of the 30-day delay. You
may not commence any legal proceeding
against Sunquest unless you have submitted a notice as set out above. Under no circumstances shall Sunquest be liable to you
for an amount in excess of the total amount
paid to Sunquest for your vacation.
Air Only & Government Approval: All flights
for Inclusive Tour Charter (ITC) holidays and
air-only Advanced Booking Charter (ABC)
flights are operated pursuant to the rules of
the Canadian Transportation Agency and
such flights have been approved by the
Agency on behalf of Sunquest.

Sunquest shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the place of your
departure from Canada and international

herein. Notice: No agent or representative
of Sunquest or any other service provider
has the authority to modify or waive any
provision of these Terms and Conditions.

claims concerning any services booked
through, or provided by, Sunquest and
claims made directly by you or by anyone
connected to you or claiming through you)
relating to or arising from your purchase of
a holiday, or the goods and services provided by or through Sunquest, must be
decided by one arbitrator, to the exclusion
of the Courts. The arbitration shall be governed by the National Arbitration Rules of
the ADR Institute of Canada, Inc. or its
successors or a replacement Administrator.
The seat of the arbitration shall be in the
province in which you reside. The decision
of the arbitrators shall be final and binding
upon the parties. The present arbitration
clause applies to all claims made as part of
a class action or other representative
action, it being expressly understood and
agreed to that the arbitration of such claims
must proceed on an individual (non-class,
non-representative) basis.
Sunquest’s Responsibility: The travel
services provided are subject to the
Travel Industry Act (ON), Travel Agent’s
Act (BC), Travel Agent’s Act (QC) or any
other similar act enforced in the province

commission of any third party supplying
any of the services or accommodation
