LakePoint is Building Mixed-Use Entertainment for
Local Community and Travel Sports
EMERSON, Ga. (December 21, 2015) – Families who are living the travel sports lifestyle are quickly
becoming aware of LakePoint Sporting Community, the premier sports vacation destination. LakePoint
combines elite athletic facilities for multiple sports with exciting retail, entertainment, and hotels for
the ultimate sports & family experience. On December 10, LakePoint broke ground on their first
entertainment venue, LakePoint Station. This is the first of seven entertainment venues that guests can
look forward to, as they return to LakePoint. The other venues include: LakePoint Golf, a par-3 course;
LakePoint Landing; which will be connected to Lake Allatoona; Boomtown, the entertainment and
retail district; LakePoint Lagoon, for the beach activities; LakePoint Mountain, for outdoor adventure
sports; LakePoint Rapids, a water park.
Family Fun is Headed Down a New Track
The new family fun center will feature St. Angelo’s
Pizza, Clip n’ Climb rock climbing and 36 holes of
miniature golf, all encompassed in a train station
theme with it being located adjacent to an active
railroad. LakePoint Station will be a vital first step in
providing entertainment for all of LakePoint’s visitors
as well as the local community. It will also feature a
laser maze, arcade, gem mining, and is perfect for
birthday parties, team dinners and good old family fun.
LakePoint Station is set to open Summer 2016.

LakePoint opened in 2014 and has since welcomed more than one million visitors to its park. Located just
outside of Atlanta in the North Georgia Mountains, LakePoint currently has 21 athletic fields and hosts a wide
variety of activities from the youth to the collegiate level. Expected completion of the athletic portion of the
facility is 2017, with continued entertainment and retail buildout aligned with that timeline.
