Chamonix
The oldest and most famous resort in the French Alps.
With over 700km of runs catering for the advanced expert
down to the beginner, Chamonix has it all. It also has the
famous Vallée Blanche, The White Valley, 20 km of skiing
with the world’s largest lift-served vertical drop of 2800m.
The lift system is good although the unlinked areas mean
reliance on the very efficient Chamonix bus service.
There are a total of 62 ski lifts including 8 cable cars and
6 telecabines. The town is vibrant with many restaurants,

Méribel
Méribel lies in the heart of the biggest ski area in the world,
“The Trois Vallées” with 600 km of ski runs and 200 lifts using
one ski pass. Méribel is built entirely in tasteful chalet style,
with wood siding throughout. The centre is very pleasant
with raised walkways by the shops above the one-way road.

Zermatt
Zermatt is located at the base of the Matterhorn (pictured)
amidst spectacular scenery and is car free. Horse drawn
or electric taxis or your own two legs are the only form
