After studying at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music, Alexander Viazovtsev and Ben Boren were
brought together by their common interest in the music for flute and piano by such composers as Prokofiev and Taktakishvili. After finishing his Master's degree, Ben moved to Bloomington, Indiana to work on his Doctor of Music degree. At the
same time Alexander began performing with orchestras such as Virginia Symphony, Phoenix Symphony and currently performs with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. After almost 5 years of not playing together, Alexander and Ben have been reunited. Playing very traditional, wild contemporary and everything in-between, their performance will include such wonderful pieces as the magnificent J.S. Bach's Chaconne in d-minor (for flute solo), colorful Albeniz's Iberia (for piano solo), simple and beautiful Mozart's Rondo and very virtuosic Grand Polonaise by Theobald Boehm.
