Two men were seen carrying a box from the yard
at 9 p.m., but no description of them can be given
beyond that they were both very small. The box was
recovered in the vicinity of Atfield Street on the
3ht inst.·-Al/5 738, Ist November, 1897.
Fremantle.-On the 31st ult., from the person of
Mrs. l\lary Searle, at the Roman Catholic Churcb,1 leat her purse, containing 1 £5 National Bank
note, 1 gold signet, broken in half, and a small unset
