Skytron Stellar Lights Brochure
Advanced Focusable Lighting Skytron Focusable Lighting Leadership since 1972 Stellar provides advanced lighting performance with revolutionary high intensity, shadow-free and focusable optics, offering direct and precise surgeon focus control for every procedure while retaining maximum intensity at any distance. After all, next to a surgeon’s eyes, what other surgical tool could be more important? Performance. Design. 1 Advanced lighting performance, surgeon control, positioning & durability. Stellar’s high performance and extremely durable polymer Surgical Lightheads produce high intensity, soft white surgical lighting when and where it is needed most, while providing effortless movement. Sealed lightheads and smooth lines protect against dust accumulation, providing quick and easy cleanings between surgical cases. Brighter Soft white, high intensity lighting @ 130,000 lux (ST23) or 160,000 lux (ST29) per lighthead. Direct Focus Control Surgeons can directly control focus and depth of field adjustment without having to move the lighthead, while retaining maximum intensity at any distance. Non-Sterile Focus Control A non-sterile focus control knob and four non-sterile positioning handles for the circulating nurse are standard. Precise, Shadow Free Optics Advanced VSRD (Vertical Segmented Reflector Design) Optics provide precise, shadow-free illumination and a uniform, adjustable 30” depth of field at any distance. Cool Revolutionary coated reflectors reflect infrared heat to the rear of the lighthead, providing the optimum balance between bright light and cool illumination. 2 STELLAR color correct optics Color Correct Light Stellar VSRD optics provide the optimum color temperature of 4,000 K, ideally suited for providing bright, soft white light while reducing glare and eye fatigue. Stellar provides a color rendering index (CRI) of 93 for excellent tissue differentiation. CHEMICALLY TREATED REFLECTOR INFRARED HEAT WAVES CHEMICALLY TREATED REFLECTOR DIFFUSER COVER HEAT ABSORBING COLOR CORRECTION FILTER HEAT ABSORBING COLOR CORRECTION FILTER DIFFUSER COVER OVERLAPPING BEAMS OF LIGHT COOL COLOR CORRECTED LIGHT Multiple light sources, each equipped with the VSRD Optical System, provide an extended depth of field while retaining maximum intensity at any distance. 176 slices of light are produced from each individual light source, each combining to form cool, soft white and shadow-free illumination to the surgical site. 3 STELLAR focusable optics 30” Depth of Field Maximum Intensity Focused at 39” Stellar Lighthead focused at 30”. Stellar Lighthead focused at 60”. Deep Cavity Illumination Stellar Lighthead @ 60 in. (unfocused) Deep Cavity Illumination Stellar Lighthead @ 60 in. (focused) The Stellar Focusable Optics Advantage Stellar Lighthead focused at 39” (1 meter) with a uniform 30” depth of field. Maximum Intensity at Any Distance Extended working distances (beyond 1 meter) are not uncommon for many surgical procedures (Ob-Gyn, Orthopedics, Vascular and Urology). Stellar's advanced VSRD Optics optimally provide surgeons with sterile focus control. Just a ¼ turn of the sterile center focus handle captures maximum intensity at any distance without having to physically reposition lightheads. 4 STELLAR key features at a glance 20° 360° 360° 90° 360° 360° Featherlight Maneuverability Features with Increased Ranges of Movement High Intensity, Shadow-Free Lighting Surgeon Sterile Focus Control 5 Cool, Color Correct Optics Optional LED SkyLight Ambient Lighting for Low Lighting Applications (MIS Surgery) Optional Camera Ready Lightheads with Removable Handle Camera Adaptable configurations provide the ability to upgrade for future clinical needs (flatscreen monitor arms and/or Skybooms). 6 STELLAR reliability Ongoing Reserve Bulb Protection ■ Bulb life is generally 5X competitive systems, protected by Skytron’s Sof-Start System. ■ Multi-light source design protects against surgical interruption during bulb failure. Bulb Change is quick and easily made at users’ convenience Stellar’s multi-light source design not only protects against but prevents surgical light interruption during bulb failure. Wall Controls ■ Compact and aesthetically pleasing. ■ Convenient to operate. ■ Meets UL and CSA testing standards.
