How to use Bhàskar Panchàng
Bhàskar Panchàng is based on calculations for Eastern Standard Time (EST) of
Toronto, Canada (43° 39' N, 79° 23' W) according to Indian astrology.
Timings for Tithi and Nakshatra for all over the world can be known from this
Bhàskar Panchàng very easily. 2017 Main festivals have been given on page18
Main festivals around the world have given on page 16-17.
Times for all the Tithi’s, Nakshatras, Yogas, Karanas, Muhurtas correspond to
their ending time except that the entry time is given for Daily Lagna table and
Sun- Moon in the Rashi’s Mesha, Vrisha, etc.
According to Indian tradition day counts from Sunrise to next Sunrise.
All the times are given in hours and minutes in a 24-hour clock system. After
midnight time continue like 25, 26 ...31 because a day counts from Sunrise to
Sunrise. When the quoted time exceeds 24, it implies continuation after midnight,
e.g. at page No. 37 of Bhàskar Panchàng Amavas and Pratipada has been
written in one day that means Pratipada Tithi is Kshaya it will start after the
sunrise of Feb.8 and will end before the sunrise of Feb. 9th. Ending time for
Pratipada is 31:06 on Feb 8th it means Pratipada Tithi will end at (31:06 -24:00
=07:06) 07:06 A.M. of Feb.09. This has been given beside Feb. 8th because it
ended before the Sunrise 07:24 am of Feb. 9th. The Same method has been
applied everywhere.
Time given for the Karanas Bav, Kaulav etc is only at the Sunrise time. There is
beginning and ending times for Bhadra, Gandmool, Siddhi yog, Ravi Yog etc. Also
the importance of Muhurats are generally given with them.
PA means Pravishtaa (date of Hindu month).The auspicious timings of Sakraanti
for prayer and Charity are given together with the date of Sakranti.
In 2016 Planetary transition, retrogression and combustion positions are given in
the daily Panchàng of same date which they move and also on page 33 Karwa
Chauth Moonrise time for different cities has been given on page No. 87.
10. In the Panchàng for January to December (see pages 34 to 59), the Kundali’s for
the 1st and the 15th of each month correspond to 7 A.M. Toronto in the winter and
8:00 A.M. in the summer time. The Entry time of Sun and Moon into Rashies
(zodiac), retrograde position, combustion state of all the planets are given beside
that date. Also, given are Raashi of the true Nirayana planets, degree and
minutes of Rashi’s, and position of planets. Summer time starts from March 12th,
2016 at 2:00 A.M. and ends on November 6th, 2016 at 2:00 A.M.
11. One hour had been added already in the summer time except the daily Lagna
Sarini and daily planetry position.
12. By subtracting from EST three Hours for PST, Two Hours for CST and adding one
hour for AST, adding two hours for Suriname and Five hours for GMT, 10:30
hours for IST in winter (and 9:30 Hours in Summer) could give the accurate times
of Panchàng for that place.
13. PST Panchang has been given on page No.136-149 based on the lattitude 5°52’ N
and logitude 55°0’ West of Paramaribo, Suriname.
14. Suriname Panchang has been given on page No.152-163 based on the lattitude and
37°32* N logitude 121°32* Wof Fremont, CA
15. Moonrise time quoted with the Ganesh Chaturthi and Satyanarayan vrat in the
