· Rafal Majka became the first rider to win a Tour de France stage while wearing polka dot jersey since Michael
Rasmussen in stage 9 in 2005 (Mulhouse). This excludes leading the mountain classification and wearing
yellow.
· This was the third stage win by a Tinkoff – Saxo rider this Tout. In 2010 this team won four stages: Andy Schleck
(2) and Fabian Cancellara (2).
· Tinkoff - Saxo became the first team to win Back-to-back Tour stages with different riders (Majka & Rogers)
since Movistar last year (Quintana & Costa).
· Vincenzo Nibali won his 15th yellow jersey, surpassing Gastone Nencini on fifth place all-time for Italian riders.
· Since 1980 only Bernard Hinault and Lance Armstrong rode in the yellow jersey for more days in one Tour de
France than Vincenzo Nibali has now. Hinault led the GC in 20 stages in 1981 and 17 stages in 1985, Armstrong
