Macon’s own most famous (or
infamous) murderess comes
to life in this newly-revised
and updated play, which has
been brought back to the
MLT stage once again. This
dramatization looks back on
Anjette’s childhood, gets inside
her head, and listens in on those
who observed her behavior.
Local writer and director Denver
Pickard presents a terrifying
yet charismatic and gracious
lead character whose charm
will make you smile even while
chilling your heart. This show
is a must-see for
everyone.

Dr. Henry Jekyll is a brilliant scientist frustrated by
his dull “respectable” life in 1888 Victorian London.
He creates a formula to unleash his inner bestial
nature, transforming him into the brutish but oddly
compassionate Edward Hyde. Hyde lives the high
life while Jekyll’s middle-aged normalcy continues –
until Hyde’s passions begin to turn up a body count.
This is the classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson
about one man’s triumph and tragedy over the dark
side of his personality.

Experience the rich, varied texture of life in Civil War Macon… See the
spirits of individuals such as William and Ellen Craft, who escaped from
slavery through a bold and ingenious disguise. Though celebrated in
Europe they longed to return home to the American South. Or catch a
glimpse of Lucia Griswold Conn Hardeman, who marched on Sherman in
defense of her captured bride- groom. Groups of 12-15 visitors tour the
cemetery with a guide to meet spirits from the Civil War era, including a
Confederate encampment atop the parapet, an earthen fortification
built in 1864 as a point of lookout and defense.
