A PERSONAL MESSAGE FROM
GAYLE DENNEHY-CARRIER, PRESIDENT
Social media is taking the Real Estate industry “Front and
Center” as real estate companies and business professionals alike are using popular sites such as Facebook, Twitter
and LinkedIn to keep in touch with their clients and prospects.
While the real estate industry is ever-evolving, Real Estate
professionals around the country are doing their part to
enter the social scene and connect with their clients on a
whole new level. In addition to the social aspect that goes
along with networking, real estate professionals are finding
simple ways to leverage their business at the same time,
creating a new frontier to market their properties to a
wider-reaching audience.
Social media is not just a tool to strengthen existing relationships with friends, clients and your sphere of influence;
it is a way to strategically build your business through creating community-related resources as well as generating
traffic and leads.

ver wonder how many of the software programs on your computer are out of date? The most recent software updates give
you the latest features helps ensure that your computer runs
smoothly and protects it against potential security vulnerabilities.
It's probably worthwhile to check now and then.
It could take dozens of hours to perform this task manually - so
many just ignore the issue and continue to operate with less than
desirable software on their machine.
Now CNET has come to the rescue with a neat program that
shows you the software on your computer that is out of date and
provides you with the information you need to decide which updates you want. You can view available updates online or from
your desktop. You can check CNET and user ratings at a glance
and download updates safely and spyware free.
And it's good to know that this great service is with the compliments of these nice folks.

The 10-Second Rule
One of the most common reasons that people
find themselves in dangerous situations is
that they weren’t paying attention. Take a few
precious seconds during the course of your
day to assess your surroundings.
Take 2 seconds when you arrive at your
destination.
• Is there any questionable activity in the
area?
• Are you parked in a well-lit, visible location?
Welcome to our New Members:
• Can you be blocked in the driveway by a
prospect’s vehicle?
Amanda Myers– CB Premiere Realtors
Take 2 seconds after you step out of your
car.
Desmond Primus– Prestige Properties
• Are there suspicious people around?
Renato Focareto– CB Premiere Realtors
Heather Fitzgerald– RE/MAX Professionals
• Do you know exactly where you’re going?
Take 2 seconds as you walk towards your
destination.
Maria Gaudet– RE/MAX Professionals
• Are people coming and going or is the area
unusually quiet?
Welcome to New Secondary Brokers
& Office Leaders:
• Do you observe any obstacles or hiding
places in the parking lot or along the street?
• Is anyone loitering in the area?
Take 2 seconds at the door.
Jeff Morrow- Morrow Real Estate, Bristol
Beth DiLoreto– Prudential CT Realty, Middletown
Sandra Failing– Prudential CT Realty, Southington
Al Monbaron– Baron Realty Group, Southington
• Do you have an uneasy feeling as you’re
walking in?
• Is someone following you in?
Take 2 seconds as soon as you enter your
destination.
• Does anything seem out of place?
Free Tips Help Sellers Profit from Lowball Offers
You can teach sellers to transform lowball offers into closed sales
with free tips from the July "Get Your Home Sold" article found at
the member only section of the NAR consumer website,
HouseLogic.com . "Get Your Home Sold" articles--which you can
use in your marketing campaigns, websites, and blogs—also cover
ensuring a profitable closing, reducing your seller’s home's price,
choosing the best offer for seller’s home, and keeping your sale
from falling apart.
Volume 12 Issue 2
• Is anyone present who shouldn’t be there or
who isn’t expected?
Safety in Just 10 Seconds
It takes just 10 seconds to scope out your
surroundings and spot and avoid danger.
Make this “ten-second scan” a habit in your
everyday work as a Real Estate Professional.
Then share it with someone else.
