I know I am. It has been a long brutal Winter and we are all looking forward to the warmer weather. Starting April 1st, the Sutherland Park and the Smiths Creek Park will open for use. If you are looking for a place to have that birthday party, anniversary party, reunion or any other big party, you can rent the pavilions at either park. The fee for township residents is $25.00 and non-residents fee is $50.00. Stop in at the township hall to reserve the pavilions today. April 2015 Marysville Knights of Columbus #9526 7th Annual Farmer’s Market/ Flea Market/Arts & Craft Event When: Every Friday starting May 1st. thru October 30th. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Where: 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI Corner of Range/Ravenswood Roads. So spread the word and bring some friends. NOW HIRING FIRE FIGHTERS Kimball Township Fire Department is now accepting applications for the position of part-time paid fire fighter and volunteer fire corps. Applicants must live within three miles of our fire district. Must have a valid Michigan Drivers License. Must be able to pass a physical ability test and background check. All training and equipment is provided. ETHNIC GATHERING Members of the past POW-WOW gathering at the corner of North River Road and Wadhams Road are trying to put together an ethnic gathering display for June 2015. This is for anyone who would like to demonstrate anything from their family background countries of origin or items from those countries. Anyone or group interested getting involved in this event please contact Joe Greaux at 810-985-8669 or 810-531-9814. The event will be scheduled only if there are enough individuals or groups interested. There are electrical outlets at the site for those who may need that source. Also, there is to be a POW-WOW demonstration in July. Keep an eye open for dates on both events. The board approved Resolution 2015-03 to purchase land at 1948 Allen Road. CASWELL CEMETERY SPRING CLEAN-UP The normal Spring Clean-Up day for the Caswell Cemetery would be March 15th, but because the Winter was so harsh, the date has been pushed back to April 1st. If the ground remains frozen it will be pushed back a little further. Just a little reminder that all new foundations for new grave stones will be poured in May before Memorial Day.
