About Us
The past year has seen many exciting and inspiring moments for Stan’s NoTubes. We developed
and sponsored our first Stan’s NoTubes Women’s Elite Mountain Bike Team. We also sponsored
Stan’s NoTubes/AXA Equitable Men’s Elite Road team, the first and only tubeless road team to date.
Both teams projected the energy and physical presence that have solidified the Stan’s brand in the
marketplace. The success of these two teams has spurred the creation of the Stan’s NoTubes Elite
Cross team.
Mountain Bike Action magazine has bestowed upon us an honor in their 25th Anniversary issue.
Stan was listed as one of the “25 Most Influential People in Mountain Biking.” He was recognized for
devising the NoTubes tubeless tire system which has become the preferred method of converting a
standard mountain bike wheel into tubeless and keeping tires from going flat. Stan’s tire sealant was
described as being often imitated but never equaled. We couldn’t have said it better ourselves! We
started with Stan’s sealant over a decade ago and it has ultimately lead us to the many products we
have developed to date.
At Stan’s NoTubes we constantly strive to improve our products while keeping customer service a
top priority. The shared input from customers drive our product development to meet ever changing
demands. NoTubes’ journey to provide high-quality cycling products has led to the creation of our own
hubs. This allows us to produce complete wheelsets featuring standard components and the latest

Bead Socket Technology
Our patented Bead Socket Technology (BST) design forms the foundation for all of our tubeless
rims. BST allows the tire’s bead to easily and securely interface with the rim’s bead ‘socket’ and
not sit at the bottom of the rim’s sidewall. This allows the tire to perform at its optimum level;
increasing tire air volume and allowing a 30% reduction in air pressure. BST provides peace of
mind and a compliant enjoyable ride; not to mention an easier yet faster one.
Standard rims have taller sidewalls than BST rims, and more rotating mass. This alters a tire’s
natural shape and forces the use of much higher air pressures to mitigate the risk of pinch
flatting. With our BST, NoTubes rims use less material and thus have less rotational mass.
Positioning of the rim beads farther apart and closer to the rim cavity creates increased tire
air volume. This increase in air volume allows for operating with less air pressure without the
worry of pinch flats. Reduced tire pressures and greater tire volume enable the tire’s tread to
function more efficiently, reducing rolling resistance, increasing traction, improving cornering and
adding much needed comfort to your ride. By varying the height of the sidewall and adjusting
the rim’s internal width and shape we tailor the design of each ZTR rim with BST for its intended
application. This customization allows each rim to deliver unparalleled performance, from the
ultra-light Podium MMX and Race Gold 29er to the heavier duty Flow. Inspire your ride with

A patented design feature created to
mimic the tire bead shape and securely
retain the bead for a tighter tubeless
seal. The inner rim shape allows the
rim to be taped air tight for tubeless use
with a sealant or for tubed use. Found

Setting the Gold Standard. The best just got better!
The ZTR Race 29er wheelset changed the way people look at 29ers. Now get the
wheelset that sets the Gold Standard for high performance and beyond. The improved
rim design provides a wider tire base for more stability and traction, a lower sidewall
for increased usable air volume and lighter weight. The combination of short sidewall
and wider internal rim widths makes a 24mm wide rim perform like much wider
28mm wide rims but in a much lighter 1345g package.
Stan’s 3.30Ti hubs with stainless bearings increase reliability and provide quicker
engagement to maximize pedaling efficiency. The hubs are easily adaptable to different
axle sizes by simply changing the end caps. Optimized flange spacing and lacing
pattern maximize the lateral stiffness and longevity of the exclusive 320 gram rims.
The 29er Race Gold is the unquestioned leader of the lightweight racing 29er category.

Once again, Bead Socket Technology construction
provides superior tubeless compatibility. The internal
arch design lends durability and stiffness, two
assets especially important for all 29er wheels.
Although lightweight, the Arch EX can handle almost
any type of riding. Fully tubeless compatible with
yellow rim tape and valve stem.
When the path you ride turns rougher and
rockier, you will ride fearlessly on the Flow.
This rim’s wider profile also features internal
arch construction to add strength and stiffness,
and will perfectly accommodate big tires.
The Flow superbly handles heavy duty trail use
as well as all-mountain riding for 26-inch, 29-inch
and 650b. Our team riders have relied on the ZTR
Flow for multiple World Cup wins and two overall

Whether you want a stock wheelset or a custom build, Stan’s
3.30 hubs will provide the most powerful bang for your hardearned buck. We build Stan’s 3.30 Mountain Hubs in a variety of
options to fit most modern frame and fork configurations. All of
our 3.30 rear hubs feature 3 simultaneously engaging pawls and
a 30-tooth ratchet ring for quick 12-degree engagement. Both
front and rear 3.30 hubs come with standard quick-release end
caps. For heavy-duty all-mountain and downhill applications, we
offer Stan’s 3.30HD hubs. The 3.30HD line comes with a 20mm
thru-axle front and either a 12x135mm or a 12x150mm rear. We
offer a wide array of hub conversion kits available separately.
The 3.30Ti Hubs are designed for the weight conscience
consumer and cross country race applications. The 3.30Ti
Hubs come stock with stainless steel bearings and our carbon
levered chromoly tubular quick release. For single speed riding
look to Stan’s 3.30SS Disc Hub coming in at 252 grams with
alloy lock ring included. Last but certainly not least is the Stan’s

ZTR Alpha wheels from Stan’s NoTubes combine our revolutionary Bead Socket
Technology with the quality and ultralight weight demanded by the most
discriminating road and cyclocross riders. For 2012 Alpha wheelsets will feature
Stan’s 3.30 Road Ti and Road hubs. These hubs are very light weight, have
quick engagement and are extremely reliable. Our Bead Socket Technology
(BST) with short rim sidewalls and wide rim cavity allow for lower tire pressure
for superior traction, lower rolling resistance and a compliant tire feel. The
weight and ride quality is on par with sew-ups but without the mess, wasted
time and expense of tubular tires.

Road Tubeless Kits/Tires
Road Tubeless Bundle
Everything you need to convert your existing clincher road wheelset to tubeless.
Decrease rolling resistance, run lower pressure and eliminate the worry of punctures.
Please note, unlike with mountain bike conversions, specific Road Tubeless tires are
required for conversion. They have been designed with a folding tire bead that will not
stretch and cause catastrophic blowouts.

Stan’s Yellow Rim Tape
Expertly create an airtight seal in the spoke bed of our BST rims, or
simply use it as a lightweight rim tape for any tube-type rim. See chart
(page 8) to find the correct width for your ZTR rim. Non-BST equipped
rims require a full tubeless conversion kit, see page 15. One roll will
tape up to (5) 26” rims or (4) 29” rims.
AS0030 - 10 Yards X 21mm Wide
Valve Stems
AS0018 - Stan’s 35mm Tubeless Valve Stem with removable
valve core and molded rubber base. Compatible with BST equipped rims as
well as various tubeless models.

Tire Sealant
Stan’s Tire Sealant
After eleven years and then some, Stan’s NoTubes sealant still
dominates the market. Our thin, low-viscosity solution contains
specially formulated sealing crystals which coat the inside of
your tires and quickly seal holes up to 1/4 inch. This provides
superior sealing for both mountain bike and road tubeless tires.
Stan’s sealant will seal standard tires and allow their use as
tubeless tires at much lower weights. This formula can even be
used in tubes with removable valve cores, and to seal punctures
in expensive tubular tires. Our non-reactive, non-corrosive,
environmentally friendly sealant will remain liquid in a mountain
bike tire two to seven months and can be used in environments
as cold as -30F.

Tubeless Ready Tires
The Raven
The Crow
When the race course is a little more gnarly, the Raven is your tire. The Raven is designed
to be used at low pressures in hardpack to moderately loose conditions, with larger side
knobs than the Crow, allowing for increased traction when cornering. The dual compound
rubber increases cornering traction, wears longer, and rolls faster. Tubeless ready design
can be used with a tube or tubeless and Stan’s Tire Sealant in BST rims or standard rims
with Stan’s NoTubes Conversion Kits.
When speed is your mission, the Crow is your tire. Ultra-light (390 grams
26”, 480 grams 29”) with low knobs to roll fast, run it at low pressures
with our sealant for superior traction and flat resistance in dry, hardpack
conditions. Softer durometer side knobs improve grip in the corners.
