Behind the modern exterior of the Philippines’ most progressive city is
an interesting story waiting to be told. Uncover the story of Makati with
visits to three of city’s museums. Begin the day at Museo Ng Makati
which showcases the city’s most recent history. Then make a stopover
at the famous Neilson Tower situated in the heart of the business
district. This is where modern Makati took root. Next, explore the Ayala
Museum with its dioramas depicting the most important events in the
country’s history. The tour also includes a drive-by of the sixteenth
century churches of Saints Peter and Paul Parish (the oldest church in

1629. Often referred to as the “Guadalupe Ruins,” the original church
was of Doric structure with massive buttresses to support its vault of
hewn stones taken from the still visible but extinct Guadalupe Quarry.

Our first stop is the Nielson Tower along Ayala Avenue. Proceeding to

old structure built in 1918 that served as the first town hall of the then
municipality of Makati.

Subic Bay Adventure Tour
We depart early from Metro Manila, passing through the provinces of
Bulacan and Pampanga. Along the way, you will have a chance to
witness the wrath brought by the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo (considered
the strongest volcanic eruption in the last century) as you pass
through the town of Bacolor in Pampanga. The tour continues towards

Our tour begins with a morning drive through the Mall of Asia

and artwork ranging from the 17th to early 20th century. It showcases
the lifestyle of upper class Filipinos at the turn of the century.
Our next stop will be San Agustin Church and Museum. Designated a
UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, its walls have stood as a mute

is now the Filipinas Heritage Library. A spiral staircase goes up to the
historic tower room where news about the attack on Pearl Harbor was
first heard in the Philippines.

commercial complex. “The Diorama Experience” is a permanent
exhibit of 60 handcrafted dioramas that chronicle the rich tapestry of
