This brochure is both a brief introduction to Kinnarps and
an explanation of the government approved agreement we
hold for the supply of workplace furniture to public sector
organisations.
Environment
Office
Education
Put simply, Kinnarps is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of
furniture for education, office and care environments and supplies
a vast range of products and services associated with these
workplaces.
The Buying Solutions agreement is an approved route for any
public sector organisation to procure through without the need for
lengthy and costly tendering procedures. There is a more detailed
description of what the agreement covers and how to use it inside
this brochure.

Quick win products
You can view all of the products we offer on our website or in
our product catalogues. Here we present just a few; selected
because they represent what are often referred to as ‘quickwin products’ because they offer benefits - such as high
sustainability credentials – which our public sector clients
have told us they appreciate and value.
Whether you are looking to specific products - where durability,
sustainability and ergonomic function will increase value – or for
innovation - where dynamic planning of space and a thorough and
reliable delivery system will deliver savings and efficiencies - we
believe our offering is well aligned to support you in the challenges
ahead.

LamineTM
Wth almost seven decades of experience, Kinnarps stands for reliable, integrated solutions with a focus on function,
ergonomics and Scandinavian design.
LamineTM is a unique, low-risk, paint-type finish applied directly to chipboard without the use of glues and
veneers. The result is a hardwearing, totally recyclable worksurface available in a one-colour finish, such as white,
or realistic wood effect, negating the need for a laminate or melamine surface.
>> Extremely lightweight top
- easy to move and reconfigure
- lighter delivery loads (use less energy)
>> Recycled material in construction and 100% recyclable
- extremely high sustainable credentials
>> Lamine finish on desks and storage (see Lamine below)
- does not use laminates, melamine or veneers
- highly durable surface
>> Lamine™ is considerably more durable than veneers and withstands ageing up to 75% better. This makes
it simpler to apply supplementary treatments and avoids ugly “sun marks” on cabinets exposed to harsh light.
There is no risk that the “seams” holding veneers together will become visible over time.
>> Lamine™ provides a very hardwearing and durable surface. During “Taber Abrasion” testing (a test of
durability) Lamine™ achieved a score of 250 revolutions, whilst Melamine achieve a score of 100 revolutions.
>> The hard surface of Lamine™ is considerably less sensitive to damage/pressure than veneer. There is no risk
of “pen marks” occurring if the surface is written on in ballpoint pen

Controlling every link of the chain
What makes Kinnarps unique? We take responsibility for
everything; from sourcing raw materials and manufacturing
products to delivering and installing integrated solutions.
That’s not only convenient and cost-effective for our
customers - it’s also good for the environment.
A progressive approach
By managing the whole chain we keep full control of our impact
on the environment, minimising costs and waste. We guarantee
that all our timber comes from monitored or certified forests
and expect our carefully chosen suppliers to maintain the same
high standards. By keeping a constant eye on our development,
production and transportation processes we optimise our
environmental approach. For example, we choose to protect our
furniture with blankets that we can use again and again and again
. . . minimising the use of plastics and at the same time keeping
customer sites free of waste.
Kinnarps ‘Blue Truck Concept’ brings direct benefits to clients.
By shipping in custom-designed boxes we maximise volumes per
shipment. The boxes are transported from Sweden to mainland
Europe via train – minimising carbon footprint and ensuring
reliability.
Our unique TP (Transport & Production) system automatically
plans deliveries to offer reduced lead times and maximise efficient
delivery schedules. For example if the system ‘sees’ a large
installation planned for Birmingham it can pull forward other orders
in production for the midlands area, in order to load them together.
By using one truck to transport the blue Kinnarps boxes on an
efficient route across the UK (a road train) we avoid potential
damage in transhipping and the environmental impact of many
small delivery vehicles.
Whether delivering one chair or 100 workstations, the same
efficient, reliable system ensures we deliver when we say we will,
with the highest quality.
From raw materials to
complete interior workspace
solutions. Kinnarps is a
coordinated, international
organisation that takes
responsibility for the whole
business chain.

Offices, with all their different functions, are complex environments
that require carefully considered solutions. To be ”better at work”
means we work as closely as we can with customers at each
stage of the process. Together, we identify essential and desirable
elements that will result in an efficient, inspiring and unique
environment - the basis for a productive day’s work.

up capital needlessly.
The company in brief
A local service from a global player
We have been around long enough to realise that following
short-term fashions or overnight trends does not make
good commercial sense. Long-term thinking and an
evolutionary approach to design has built a solid foundation
for our business.
UK wide coverage
We have 10 regional offices across the UK, each complete with
team of locally experienced sales professionals. These centres act
as local showrooms for clients to choose their final specification and
to brief their own teams on choices and decisions.
Public Sector experience
As you can see from the list on this page, we have worked with
a diverse set of public sector organisations and are both well
experienced and respected as the approved source of workplace
furniture.
Experience equals security
Kinnarps extensive experience, product knowledge and financial
stability are values we know our customers appreciate.
They depend on us to take our responsibilities seriously and to
deliver what we promise. And we do just that. Otherwise, we
would not have grown from a small family concern into a successful
global brand with 2,200 employees, delivering to the demanding
standards of the public sector both in the UK and across Europe.
