Lakeland Community Theatre, with its home in
the 370 seat Lake Mirror Center Theatre, is
entering its 24th season. It produces five main
stage productions a year, including musicals,
comedies and dramas, special event
productions and a two show Children's
Theatre Season, as well as classes throughout
the school year and camps in the summer.
With a full and part time staff of four, it hires
theatre professionals for some of its technical
and production needs, but it is mainly
volunteer based with all of its actors and most
of its production help volunteering from the
community. Open auditions are held prior to
every production and are open to all.
Volunteers are needed for all areas of the
theatre, both on and off stage.
The mission of Lakeland Community Theatre is
“to offer quality community theatre at an
affordable price for the people of Lakeland
and its surrounding areas, providing an
opportunity for individuals to present and
develop their talents in a safe, nurturing and
educational environment and to allow local
artists from every theatre discipline to publicly
showcase their talents”.
