Ultra Chic is our superior line of doll porcelains with a finish that is smoother for those who do extensive
china painting on their dolls.. Available in three whites and over 20 flesh tones. Refer to the chart on the
next page to see a comparison to colors in both Bell and Seeley lines. Each and every gallon is handstrained through a 120 mesh screen. NEVER A BLACK SPOT. A true doll artist’s dream come true.
Pamper your doll collection with Ultra Chic
All of our porcelain slips are made from the finest ingredients available to us. Being totally organic, they
are also all totally reclaimable. Instructions on how to reclaim are written on each gallon label. You can
clean our porcelains with water in the dry stage and can even rapid dry it in front of a fan without causing
any crusting on the surface. Ultra Chic is a true cone 6 Doll Porcelain, with the exception of the darker
browns which fire better to a cone 5. All slips are stable and virtually prop free. Although no porcelain is
totally prop free, if thinned properly, Ultra Chic is the most stable porcelain available to the doll industry.
Never use slip thinners because they will off balance the slip. Simply thin with either distilled water or
tap water depending on the quality of your tap water. For those who soft fire and then clean it is
recommended to fire slightly hotter. Because this porcelain is more refined it has a tendency to be softer
to the touch .

Final Touch Introduced in 2015
We are proud to introduce the most exciting new product we have had in many years. A dear friend
brought it to our attention that a product she had used for years was no longer available for purchase so we
went to work on trying to come up with something that would hopefully replace it. We were excited to announce that we developed not one, but two products, one for soft fired greenware and one for regular greenware.
No matter whether you clean soft fired greenware or clean in the dry greenware stage, we have a product for you. FT101 is for those who clean soft fired greenware, and FT102 is for those who clean regular
greenware. Final Touch will help you to achieve a much smoother finish to your porcelain then you ever
thought possible. Final Touch is a non hazardous, eco-friendly, safe to use liquid that is added as that Final
Touch before your ware goes into the kiln for the bisque firing. Have you ever heard an artist or crafter make
the statement "It isn't quite done yet because it needs that final touch"? This product is exactly that for porcelain artists of all types, from doll artists to potters and everyone in between.
Clean your ware the way you normally would clean, but before it enters the kiln you will apply Final
Touch. Squirt enough Final Touch into a small container that is easy to get your brush into. Now use a fairly
large and soft brush to apply a liberal coat of Final Touch. You want it to flow on, so don't use a mall brush
and paint it lightly. Flow on one good coat. This will remove the dust and minor imperfections before firing.
Larger imperfections will show much easier so that you can fix them before the flaw is fired in. Go ahead and
clean the flaw and reapply the Final Touch. Once the piece is the way you want it, allow it to dry for an hour
or so. If you feel the surface of the ware at this time you will feel the difference. Fire as you normally would
fire. It is safe to touch the ware because you can not disturb the Final Touch. It has already soaked in.
Brushes are easily cleaned in water. Keep the final touch in the smaller container for easy use and refill from the larger available bottles. Final Touch comes in convenient 4oz bottles, and larger pint bottles for
those who do a lot of cleaning, both with easy flip top non leaking lids. It also comes in a larger quart bottle
for those who have a studio environment, or who want to refill for customers to increase their profit.

Professional, blended china paints of superior quality, along with wonderful waterbased painting mediums.
China Emboss—CE001 Gloss and CE002 Matte—$8.95
China emboss is a replacement for Rochard Paste that is not being made by many companies anymore. It
comes both gloss or matte. Add water to thin and apply. It fires to a cone 015
China Glaze—CG001—$8.95
China glaze is a new product for this catalog and is a powder just like china paints. Mix with any standard
media, oil or water based, and apply a thin layer over previously fired china paints, such as eyes and refire to
cone 017-015. It adds a clear sparkle to china paints that is wonderful. Perfect for eyes, tears and so much
more.
Vogue Doll China Paint Line
We have tried to create a line of china paints that will offer the most popular colors from the major china paint
lines from Bell, Seeley, and Virginia LaVorgna. The comparison chart on the following pages shows which
color from our line matches or closely matches theirs. Please keep in mind that we have made every effort to
create colors that fire as close to the same tones and shades as possible but in some cases there might be a slight
difference.
Vogue Decorator China Paint Line
Colors created to complement and accent doll colors, the line contains soft pastels and true bright colors such as
Scarlet Red which is without a doubt the best red we have ever used. Perfect for doll bonnets, accenting
figurines, and many other uses. Totally compatible and interchangeable with the doll line.
Vogue Specialty China Paint Line
Our latest china paint line, which includes wonder pearl and metallic china paints and glitters to accent them.
All fire to a cone 015 with ease and the pearls are so smooth that they blush out just like a normal china paint
without streaking or globing. The glitters have no china paints in them and must be pounced into wet china
paints of the same color or contrasting colors.
Vogue Water Based Medias
Vogue media are water soluble, non-toxic, easy to clean up and combatable with all china paint powders. They
have been specially formulated from only top quality ingredients to give a smooth, silky texture to your paint.
Media are packaged in plastic one-ounce bottles with screw tops and flip-top spouts for easy use and are color
tinted for easy identification. Medias are also available by the pint. Vogue media are designed to meet the
needs of discerning doll and porcelain artists.

Vogue China Paint Kits are packaged to save you money. Each kit contains either 7 or 8 vials of coordinated

Fantasy - CS039 - $6.00
Fantasy was originated to assist in the addition of arms and busts for lace
draping and it works wonderfully for that. Do not wet the arm or the shoulder.
Simply paint a small layer on both surfaces and allow to dry for a minute or
so. Then apply a large amount and place the arm on the doll. Hold in place for
about 10 seconds and it is stuck. Apply your bandage as usual
It can also be used to add dimension to any porcelain surface. Apply Porcelain
Magic to the surface and then paint and build up the detail you desire. . (See
bamboo vase on left) The same method can be used to add flowers to a dry
porcelain surface. Paint with Porcelain Magic, place some fantasy on the back
of the flower you made and attach
Stuff - CS038 - $8.00
Stuff is our very own natural plasticizer. Stuff can be used to
create flower clay from any porcelain and can also be used to
change the buoyancy of porcelain in order to create a marble
effect. The branch and owl was cast in porcelain and painted with
CPC's. The flowers were all created using flower clay made witih
stuff, and our very own flower stone molds. See the mold section
of the shopping cart system for more information on these.
Dolly Compount - DC001—
DC001—DC003
Dolly Compound is a hard setting product for setting of eyes,
hands, and feet in porcelain dolls. We tint it flesh tone so that it
blends in better than the usual yellow or hot pink colors normally
seen in the industry. You may buy anywhere from a Kit Size
(0.5oz) that is enough for one BJD or 17" doll with a little to
spare, or a 6oz size or a 12oz size. Mixes with water and sets up
fairly quickly.

Elegance - CC903 White, CC904 Black—$3.00
One of our most popular products is "Elegance". Elegance is a
non-moving gloss glaze in pure white and black. It can be used
to detail items in order to add additional depth. The dress on
the left uses Elegance as does the goose on page 10. Apply
with the dropper bottle that it comes in as we did to the left or
apply with a brush as we did on the goose. The white can be
tinted with any one stroke to widen your color range. Apply to
the edges of brushstrokes, detail a necklace on a figurine that
didn’t come with one, or build up a complete pattern in various
colors. Let your imagination soar. Before it is fired you can
scrape the pattern off with a scalpel and not affect any CPC
colors below it. If you want to add more, Elegance can also be
put on fired porcelain bisque and then taken back to a cone 5 if
you are concerned about over firing the piece. You can also
glaze over Elegance without it flattening in the glaze firing.

Alumina Hydrate - CS040 - $5.00
We prefer not to use any kiln wash on our shelves. The reason for this is that is actually sticks to your
shelf and will eventually flake off leaving pit marks that can cause porcelain to stick and crack when it
shrinks in the firing. One of the ingredients in kiln wash is Alumina Hydrate and we use it by itself.
Mix with water and brush on your shelf. It reacts much like corn starch in the fact that you have to
keep stirring while you are brushing or it settles to the bottom. It can be easily brushed off the shelf to
return the shelve to a new stage when needed. You can also simply sprinkle it on the shelf or even pile
it for slight propping when necessary.
Parting Compound - CS041 - $6.00
Our most exciting product to be introduced in years and one of our most popular. Simply paint one
coat on the top of any box, or anything else that has a lid. Place the lid on the item and fire to cone 6.
Any slight residue left can be brushed off easily and will leave nothing that will effect china painting
or glazing in a subsequent firing. The lid will positively not stick at all and will fire perfectly. Of
course you can also use it to paint the joints of a tight fitting BJD arm or leg and fire them together to
insure a perfect fit. Thin with water when necessary.

A stable decorator line of porcelain slips for vases, figurines, and
such. Comes in 30 colors and 9 new vibrant colors.
Made much like the ancient Chinese formulas using only the finest clays available
and no chemicals, China Silk is totally organic and can even be shipped in the
middle of winter without the fear of loosing the shipment to freezing. In ancient
China one generation produced the porcelain for the next generation. It was buried
in the ground where it matured into the whitest and most translucent porcelain
possible.

China Silk and Fired
China Silk is the mainstay of those who are into vases, figurines, ornaments or lace draping. The colors
are phenomenally clear because of the base white used and even 27” tall vases can be fired with no
propping. It comes in colors including soft pastels, and deep tones. Let yourself be astounded by our
very own Deep Aqua, Hunter Green and Black, all of which are deep and rich in color. You may
purchase China Silk in gallons or pints.
The line started with red porcelains that took the industry by storm and over the past year has evolved
into bright orange, yellow, blue, and green. Professors in universities across the U.S. who wanted to
work in primary porcelain colors and saw our reds started requesting the additions and we were glad to
develop them. slips are stable and virtually prop free. Although no porcelain is totally prop free, if
thinned properly, Ultra Chic is the most stable porcelain available to the doll industry. Never use slip
thinners because they will off balance the slip. Simply thin with either distilled water or tap water
depending on the quality of your tap water.

Colors and Glazes for high fire
Spanish Oils
These exciting colors These unique colors are used to create the Lladro look of expensive
figures produced in Valencia Spain. 72 colors and 14 detail colors
make the line totally customizable to everyone’s tastes.
Classic Porcelain Colors is a unique line of Spanish Oil colors for all high fire clay
bodies. Ever wish you could create the same look as Lladro from Spain, either on a
figurine or some other special project? These are the colors that will create the exact
same look. Although they were designed for use on porcelain they will work well on
all stoneware's as well, with varying results.
Classic Porcelain Colors are unique in the fact that they are oils and yet water based. Professionals and
amateurs alike can create the exact same look to figurines as Lladro, one of the most widely known of all
porcelain figurine lines. The entire line can be applied with either a brush for total coverage, or with an
airbrush for exciting shading on animals, birds and other special projects. With a pallet of over 75 colors
ranging from the very soft pastel shades of Blue, Gray, and Brown to the very deep and exciting range of
Electric blue, Jade Green and Sienna Brown, these exciting Spanish Oils will allow you to produce the most
exquisite figurines you can possibly imagine. Don’t forget to check out #CC901 Perfect White. It can be
used as a corrector for mistakes (paint two coats on the mistake and let dry for 8 hours. Then paint the
correct color on top) or for making an area whiter than the clay body itself (try a white on white pattern). If
you are not into figurines you can also use these exciting colors to shade wonderful floral patterns shown on
the Cloisonné Pottery below. Patterns and technique sheets are available.

Spanish Oil
Detail
Detail Colors
We offer a complete line of detail colors to use with the CPC Spanish Oil
line. The pocket accents, Indian jewelry and eye, eyebrow and lip features
to the left were all created with this fun line of detail colors. Both the
pocket detail and the Indian jewelry were built up for a raised look. They
do not flatten in the firing so what you see is what you get.
Our detail colors are creamy, are applied easily and have a wonderful
satiny transparency to them when they are fired. They are perfect for
porcelain brushstroke work. Simply use out of the bottle or if they are too
thick, mix with #902 Detail Media on a tile. They will stay open and
moist for hours. Apply 2 to 3 coats to the area desired and fire with the
oils to a cone 6. May also be applied to already fired cone 6 porcelain
bisque in a glaze firing of cone 05-06.
The brushstrokes on the back of this goose are the detail colors. Available in 17 colors. The raised white
glaze on the goose is our White Elegance.
The detail on this girls bodice was created Dark Pink and Purple detail
colors on top of Iris #702. You can see the satiny shine to the details and
the depth of color.
Along with these exciting details is a detail media #902. Use in
place of water to thin the colors down to a nice brushing
consistency and as an open agent. The colors will stay moist on
your tile for a week or more. Simply add a little media to get
them moving again.

Created especially for high fire clay bodies, all 16 colors can
be mixed together to achieve the widest possible pallet. All of
the colors, including the two reds will fire from a cone 05 to
a cone 7 without fading or changing color in any way. They
will remain matte and allow for glazing, luster's, or china
painting on top of them.
The boots on the left are for a large bed doll. They were
painted with the Midnight Black Designer Stroke and fired to
the cone 6 so we would up with the nice flesh legs and black
boots. Then they buttons and bottoms of the boots were
glazed with diamond Clear and fired to cone 04-05 so that
they didn’t flow past where we wanted it. Finally they were
fired to cone 015 with gold on the buttons.

What you see is a totally NON-fired technique. Once your pattern is transferred to your surface you use a
special pen we now carry and our own wonderful artist inks to apply the pen and ink portion. Then you use
the Heat Set Oils to paint the piece and bake it in your oven. That is it. Your done.
Easy instructions with EVERY pattern packet show you how to use our special Satin spray to seal the ink and
then apply artist oils in a roughing manner, again spraying between layers of color. Masterfully developed for
the Porcelain Place by Marilyn Thompson, Tony Tanner and Cheryl Davidson, all of the pattern packets,
inks, pens, and spray are available online or by calling us directly. The porcelain and doll industry has been
VERY receptive to this new rich and wonderfully exciting technique.

Vogue Pixie Dust is a special NON-FIRING fine glitter for use on fairy and pixie wings and other delicate looking
items. Do not confuse these with our firing glitters and try to fire them, because they will totally burn off in the firing. They
were developed especially for our OOAK Fairy friends and consist of seven wonderful soft and delicate colors. They come
in one kit and work with the Specialty Glitter Medium from the Vogue Heat Set Oil line, or with any thinned down white
school type gluyue.
The colors include Pixie Pink (a soft bubblegum pink), Pixie Blue (a true baby blue), Pixie Green (a soft mint
green), Pixie Turquoise (a true soft turquoise), Pixie Yellow (a true soft baby yellow), Pixie Lavender (a wonderful soft
lavender) and Pixie Sparkle (a very fine Aurora Borealis glitter). They come in one kit for $38.00. Each color is available
individually as well if you decided you want one color more than the others.
You can use these wonderful glitters in two ways:
1. You can use the Heat Set Glitter Medium and paint a small amount on the area you want to use the
glitters. Then pat it off with a lint free paper towel so that you don’t have too much. You can then sprinkle on the glitter or
use a soft mop brush and pounce on the glitter. Use a heat gun and heat set the medium to make the Pixie Dust
permanent.
2. Alternately you can actually use the medium as a base and mix the Pixie Dust into the medium and
blend with a pallet knife. Once mixed you will have a soft wonderful pearl looking color that you can paint on for over all
coverage and heat set to make them permanent. The Specialty Glitter Medium comes in a 1/2 oz jar for $4.35, a 1 oz jar
for $7.65 and a 2 oz jar for $12.55. Clean up is easy with Color Eraser #HSM09 or Dawn dish soap and water
3. You can also follow alternate method #2 and paint on the color. Set that color and then use the Pixie
Sparkle to add a glitter effect around edges, etc.
Each of the Pixie Dust colors can be mixed with any other to create your own colors and each of them can be
mixed with the Pixie Sparkle to create more pizzazz to that particular color. Our Specialty Glitter Medium can be used on
any surface that can withstand about 265 degrees to set the medium.

Flower Stone Molds
The Porcelain Place offers our very own flower stone molds made from hydra stone for durability. Simply press
any clay, high fire or low fire, onto the mold with your fingers. Use a fettle knife to clean around the edges. Now
use a small ball of clay and press into the center of the mold and pull off the complete flower or leaf. You can
then slice between petals and form the flower. Refer to the branch shown on the Stuff page to see the final
