Meet the Staff @ Aquatica
Vanessa Pickering, Accounts
Vanessa joined Aquatica in October 2006 following a varied career in
accountancy in both England and South Africa. With husband, Glynn, also
an accountant, one would think one of their children, Gemma or Dean,
might follow in their footsteps – but it’s not looking likely at this point.
Their sweet spaniel, Zinnie, and lovely MalteseX, Frosty, along with Kelly
the cat, complete the family.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys going to the Gym as well as to a
monthly Book Club Meeting with her friends. She also enjoys participating
in the occasional FunRun (Round the Bays, Auckland Half Marathon and SA
Comrades Marathon to name but a few).
Vanessa is a good cook and often brings in cakes for morning tea. Her orange cake was a great hit
with the Boss, even though he complained she had “stolen his recipe”.
We are happy for her to “steal” as many recipes as she likes - as long as she keeps the cakes coming!
