facilities and a division of Holmes Regional Enterprises, Inc. All of our associates at Health First
Medical Equipment truly value your business and will make every effort to satisfy your needs and

Our regular hours of operation are from 8 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am
to 1 pm on Saturday. During these times, our associates are available to answer your telephone
calls and take care of any issues you may have.
To request after hours-emergency service, simply call (321) 434-3400 or toll free (877) 713-1400,
and our answering service will contact our on-call staff. We are never more than a phone call away
with 24-hour emergency service.

Please use this guide to help familiarize yourself with some of the home medical
equipment and supplies available to you as a patient. Products shown are only a
representation for each category of products that are available. Items are pictured only
to give an example of how each one looks and may not be the exact item furnished.
The illustrations and information have been compiled to help you choose the products
best suited for your individual situation.
When communicating with us, it will be easier and quicker to receive the help you need
if you have the following information available:
• Your attending physician’s name and telephone number
• Type of insurance (Medicare and/or Health First, private insurance company, etc.)
you have, and which insurance plans are primary, secondary, and supplemental
• Insurance plan, group number, policy number
• Subscriber identification number for Medicare, Health First, or private
insurance company
• Patient’s full name as it appears on his or her insurance card or ID
• Certain additional information based on your individual needs and circumstances

Respiratory Equipment
Oxygen Cylinder System
Your doctor may prescribe the use of oxygen from either a large stationary
cylinder or a small portable cylinder, or both. In either case, your system will
come with a regulator and possibly with a humidifier or appropriate base or
stand.
Oxygen Cylinders
Lightweight aluminum oxygen cylinders are available with or without a
content gauge on the valve.
Conserving Device
This device conserves oxygen by delivering oxygen only while you are inhaling.
This extends the time or use for both oxygen cylinders and liquid oxygen
containers.
Oxygen Mask
This mask is available in a variety of sizes, for either adult or pediatric use.
Seven feet of tubing is usually included.
Oxygen Supply Tubing
Durable, crush-proof tubing
Nasal Cannula
Soft, comfortable tubing to deliver oxygen through the nose
Oxygen Concentrator
This oxygen concentrator allows air to pass through a series of filters that
remove gases other than oxygen and delivers the oxygen to the patient
through an adjustable rate flow meter.

Portable Oxygen Concentrator
This lightweight concentrator is designed to function as both a standard and
portable oxygen concentrator. It provides portability for mobile patients and
has been approved by the FAA for use on commercial airlines.
Home Trans-fill Oxygen Concentrator
Patients have the function of a standard oxygen concentrator and the ability
to fill cylinders from the base unit for portability.
Nebulizer with Compressor
A nebulizer produces a very fine aerosol so that medication and humidity
can be breathed into the lungs. This nebulizer is lightweight with a reusable
inlet filter.
CPAP
This system may be prescribed by a physician to treat individuals with sleep
problems such as sleep apnea, snoring, unexplained interrupted sleep, and/or
excessive daytime drowsiness.
Aspirator
This machine creates continuous suction and is used to clear the breathing
passages of fluids.

Monitors & Feeding Devices
Blood Pressure Monitors
This monitor has memory recall for 60 readings. Fully automatic with fuzzy
logic inflation and controlled deflation. Operates on four “AA” batteries.
Other models are available.
Enteral Feeding Pump
For individuals unable to consume food orally, this feeding pump controls the
administration of enteral feedings.
Enteral Feeding Products
A physician must order enteral feeding products and can help determine
which system is best for the patient’s needs.

Reacher
A lightweight, trigger-operated reaching aid that makes it possible to pick up
items that would otherwise be out of reach
Sock Aid
An easy-to-use dressing aid to help those with limited movement put on socks
Shoehorn/Dressing Aid
Use one end of this dual-purpose dressing aid to help put on shoes and the
push-pull “S” hook on the opposite end to help with dressing.
Pill Crusher
Provides simple way to crush pills to make medication easier to swallow
Shoe Laces
These heavy-duty, elastic shoe laces are for those people who require or prefer
a tighter fit and better support.
Long Scrub Sponge
This sponge is on a long handle that allows use without raising the hand
above the shoulder.
Hip/Knee Equipment Kit
This kit contains four household dressing and bathing items to help a patient
recovering from hip or knee replacement surgery.

Coated Utensils
Plastic-coated eating utensils provide protection for teeth and lips from utensil
edges and temperature sensitivity
Rocker Knife
This knife makes it easier to cut food by using a rocking motion and is also
available in a combination knife and fork.
Built-Up Utensils
These utensils are especially designed to fit a partially-closed hand and can be
securely held by those with limited strength.

Ambulation Products
Canes
A wide variety of wooded and metal canes are available with many styles
or handgrips. If the cane you choose is not adjustable, we can have it cut
for your height.
Quad Cane
This cane has a central, vertical shaft and a base with four stabilizing “feet”
and can be used with either hand.
Forearm Crutches
These crutches extend from mid-forearm to the floor. They are available in a
variety of heights and the cuff is adjustable.
Axillary Crutches
These adjustable underarm crutches are made of lightweight aluminum.
Crutch Pads and Tips
Generally provided with the crutches you select, these pads and tips add both
comfort and safety to use of your crutches. Be sure to replace pads or tips that
become worn after prolonged use.
Folding Walker
A lightweight, two-button folding walker allows this walker to fit through
narrow spaces while maintaining rigidity and support.
Folding Walker with Wheels
The same walker as shown above is also available with 3 or 5 inch wheels that
provide a more natural walking stride and allow the user to easily maneuver
over difficult surfaces.

Walker Platform Attachment
This Platform Attachment allows the arms to bear weight, relieving pressure
from hands for those with hand injuries or arthritis.
Hemi Walker
Sometimes called a side-stepper, this walker is a combination walker and cane.
Heavy Duty Walker
A walker with 24”-wide base and folds to 4” with a weight capacity
of 500 lbs.
Rolling Walker
This walker has a built-in seat and wheels on all four legs to provide mobility
and support. Hand brakes lock the large wheels in place.
Wire Basket
The sturdy design of this Wire Basket allows the user to transport items while
using a walker.
Walker Pouch
This convenient accessory enables the user to carry small items while using a
walker and attaches easily to the walker.
Walker Attachments
There are several types of durable attachments available to extend the height
of a walker or make it easier to move.

Bathing Products
Wall-Mounted Grab Bars
These bars can be attached to the tub/shower supporting wall to provide
increased safety to enter and exit the tub/shower. Or, they can be attached
near the toilet for safety when sitting or getting up. These rust resistant bars
are available in chrome-plated or decorative colors and in a variety of sizes
and shapes.
Tub-Mounted Grab Bar
This bar securely attaches to the side of the tub and is easily mounted or
removed.
Hand-Held Shower Attachments
This hand-held shower head and hose attachment makes bathing while sitting
on a bath bench or seat easier and can also be mounted on the wall. No
special plumbing is required.
Bath Bench
This economical bench provides a secure, raised seat for the tub or shower.
Bath Bench with Back
This Bath Bench features fixed or adjustable aluminum frame and molded seat
and back.
Transfer Tub Bench
This bench has a comfortable, secure bath seat with padded upholstery and
aluminum frame.
Padded Transfer Tub Bench
This comfortable, secure bath seat features padded upholstery and an
aluminum frame.

Toileting Products
Three-In-One Commode
This commode can be used over the bathroom toilet to provide a safety frame
and raised toilet seat or it can be used as a bedside commode.
Drop-Arm Commode
The drop arm on this bedside commode operates with the push of a lever and
helps facilitate easier transfers to and from a bed or wheelchair.
Heavy-Duty Commode
Heavy-duty stainless steel frame with a weight capacity of 500 lbs. and a
removable back bar and drop arm for easier transfers.
Extra-Wide Commode
This bedside commode has an oversized seat and the frame is constructed of
chrome steel.
Raised Toilet Seat
The locking system on this seat requires no tools and fits most toilets. It raises
the seat height approximately 5” above the toilet providing an added safety
frame.

Fracture Bedpan
A bedpan for use with immobile or fracture patients
Hand-Held Urinal

Hospital Bed with Side Rails
This electric home care bed has a hand control that attaches to the rail. The
head and foot operate independently. Multi-height and manual models are
also available.
Egg Crate Bed Padding
This foam padded portable egg crate mattress is designed to minimize
pressure by re-distributing weight. The foam material dissipates heat and
moisture on the skin to help prevent skin breakdown and pressure ulcers.
Fitted Hospital Bed Sheet
This fitted sheet designed specifically for a hospital bed makes it easier to
make the bed and keeps the sheet in place for increased comfort.
Protective Bed Pad
This disposable pad provides better patient care and protects bedding.
Foam Wedge
Available in a variety of sizes, these foam wedges can be used in an ordinary
bed or a hospital bed for added comfort and better positioning.
Alternating Pressure Pad
This pad constantly inflates and deflates alternate air cells to provide pressure
relief for those who cannot reposition themselves in bed.
Overbed Table
This table can be rolled into position over the bed to provide a stable flat
surface for eating. The top can also be tilted for reading, writing, or other
activities.

Trapeze Bar
This trapeze bar is equipped with its own support frame for use over a
standard home bed. Trapeze bars that attach to the head of a hospital
bed are also available.
Continuous Passive Motion (CPM)
CPM devices are used in postoperative therapy for patients recovering from
joint surgery.

Personal Care Products
Ostomy Supplies
A complete collection system for fecal diversion with a drainable pouch, odor
barrier film, skin barrier, stationary flange, and micro-porous adhesive.
Support Hose
These support hose help manage aching leg pain, mild swelling, or spider
veins. They are available in pantyhose, knee-high, and maternity styles.
Leg Bag
Made of lightweight, odor proof, heavy gauge material, these disposable leg
bags fasten to the leg with straps that are included. Leg bags have anti-reflux
valves and empty from the bottom.
Drainage Bag
This bag is available in a variety of sizes and has a urine sample port on the
catheter connector tubing.
Catheterization Kit
The sterile contents of this kit include a drape, an underpad, plastic forceps,
lubricant, specimen container, and label. It also includes a pre-filled syringe
with sterile water, PVP solution, five rayon balls, and pre-cuffed gloves.

Moist Heat Pad
This heating pad provides deep-penetrating moist heat through the use of a
special cover next to the skin to create and retain perspiration. Available in
several sizes.
Over-Door Traction
For cervical spine traction therapy, this system includes a foam-padded
head halter, pulleys, traction rope, notched adjustable spreader bar, and vinyl
weight bag.
TENS Unit
This Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator (TENS) helps control pain
through electrical impulses using small electrodes attached to the skin. This
is a noninvasive method, but does require a prescription. Your therapist or
physician will assist you with electrode placement and rate settings.
Wheelchairs
Standard Wheelchair
This low-maintenance wheelchair with chrome-plated frame and a choice
of seat widths, is available with fixed or removable arms in full-size or desklength. Folds up to 9” to 11”.
Wheelchair with Elevating Leg Rests
This style of wheelchair is used by individuals with leg casts or those who need
to elevate their legs. Leg rests swing away and can be removed, and the chair
folds up for easy storage or transport.
Reclining Wheelchair
This wheelchair allows you to adjust from sitting to a fully-reclined position.

Bariatric Wheelchair
This wheelchair has a reinforced heavy-duty frame and has a weight capacity
up to 450 lbs.
Lightweight Folding Wheelchair
Lightweight wheelchairs are available in many models with a variety of frames,
wheel styles, seating options, and can be configured for one-arm capability.
These wheelchairs are very easy to lift for storage or transport.
Ultralight Folding Wheelchair
This extremely lightweight wheelchair is designed for the active, on-the-go
user and is available with a variety of optional features including adjustable
rear-wheel position for better wheel access and adjustable seat angle for
greater seating stability.
Lightweight Portable Power Wheelchair
This portable wheelchair can be used indoors and in some outdoor
environments and can be disassembled to allow for easy transport.
Mid-Wheel Drive Power Wheelchair
This power wheelchair with an 18-inch turn radius that is easy to maneuver
both indoors and outdoors can be programmed for individual preferences.
Power Wheelchair
Good for both indoor and outdoor use, this power wheelchair can smoothly
and safely negotiate uneven terrain.

Wheelchair Tray
Available in many different styles, this wheelchair tray attaches easily to
the wheelchair armrest and provides a solid surface for working, eating, or
carrying items.
Anti-Tipping Devices
This safety device will prevent a wheelchair from accidentally tipping over
backwards. Anti-tippers must be ordered to fit the specific wheel chair for
which they will be used.
Wheelchair Lock Extensions
These extensions make it easier to engage the locks on your wheelchair.
