SJCC Cruise Night
May 26, 2012 – South Jersey Camaro Club held its first ever cruise night. The night
was graciously hosted by the Black Horse Pike Auto Body. However, the main
reason for this cruise night was to raise money for one of our club charities –
Ocean of Love!
With food by Big Paulie’s, which was a big hit with the crowd, and music by DJ
Tommy P, the night was just a fun night to be out and about in the community.
Throughout the night the club was awarding various prizes to the lucky winners.
The door prizes where donated by our club sponsors, and we thank them greatly
for their support.
Our first cruise night was open to all makes and models, and it was a great turn
out! The first 50 entered received a T-shirt, and a goodie bag. Trophies where
awarded to the top 25 cars entered, plus a Kid’s Choice award winner, as well as
Top Overall Award winner. Here are a few shots of the winners.
As much fun as the night was, we need to put it all into prospective. This event was held for a charity that is very near
and dear to our club. Ocean of Love is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to helping children with cancer and
their families. Their purpose is to assist the children through their illness. They provide financial and emotional support
so that they can experience the “normal” joys of childhood, knowing their lives are significant and meaningful to each
and every one of us. South Jersey Camaro Club is proud too support such a great cause in our community.

This month’s Member’s Garage goes to our members who have won gold at local car shows.
On May 11, 20122 our very own Charles Gager with his son Ben
brought home the gold and the cash from the Gibbstown Cruise Night.
Apparently, Charles won the trophy for his 2011 SS/RS Pace Car, as well
as hitting the 50/50. I’m sure that made for a great day for the Gager
family!!! Congratulation Gager family...
On May 12, 2012 our very own Jesse Ray James brought home the gold
from the Sunny Side Farms Car Show that was held in Warwick, Maryland.
Jesse’s win was for his 2011 SS/RS IOM. Congratulations Jesse for the win!
On May 19, 2012, Tony Marrone brought home the gold from the Blue
Moon Cruizers Chick-fil-a cruise night. Tony won for his 2010 LT SIM.

As I was paging though some old magazines, I came
upon and interesting little article, so I clipped it out.
The article was from a Sept 2002 Autoweek . It was
writen by Patrick Paterine, and it is about our beloved F-bodfather, Scott Settlemire. Scott is still at
it today spreading the Camaro word to the legions,
and for that we at South Jersey Camaro Club “Thank
YOU”!!! Happy Father’s Day...
