Hounds of Hope documents daily life at the
Penang Animal Welfare Society, Malaysia, where
German retiree Barbara Janssen lives with her
250+ rescued canine companions. The dogs live
alone or in packs in one of the many rooms of
this ‘fixer upper’ property, each looking for a
small space to call their own. Barbara relies
solely on the help of donations and volunteers
The DMZ lies between North and South Korea. It
is a place still under contant surveilleince and a
representation of the political situation between
the two countries.

copy of a popular sporting branded shoe),
Seokjin discusses the magpie nature of the
South Korean education system. We are asked,
What is the original intention of this education
system, When did South Korean education lose
its originality and start to copy others?

The Chiang Mai Documentary Arts Festival is an annual photography
and film festival which celebrates the best of contemporary Asian
documentary work
CDAF is held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, the cultural center of the country
and a regional and international hub of people and ideas.

It was very mesmerising to watch the village children

This work is a collaboration between Pun
Pun Market and James MacDonald with
the intention to describe where the
sustainable food movement in Chiang Mai
is heading and its connection with the
market. By using images and descriptions,
our intention is to connect people with
where their food comes from and how it
gets from the garden to their plate.
In this project I have photographed and
interviewed trans women in Chiang Mai, from
dancers and performers, to bar girls, workers
and travellers, all with a uniquely different
story but one that unites them. The desire to
be true to their inner feelings.
