All other nationalities must obtain a short stay visa for
French Polynesia at nearest French Consulate before
arrival
Visas for a maximum 15 days may be obtained on arrival by
sea for valid reasons.
Some seamen books can be accepted to enter and stay 90
days with circulation limitations - Please enquire before arrival.

VISA REQUEST OVER 90 DAYS:
Non EU or Schengen area citizens willing to stay more than 90
days need to request a long stay visa for French Polynesia at
the nearest French Consulate to their residence. Application
procedure can take 2 to 3 months. Application forms and
details can be found on each Consulate’s website.

The Port of Papeete is the beating
heart of French Polynesia. Hub of all
international trade (1million tons
yearly), Papeete welcomes around
400 yachts every year, 50 of which
are Superyachts.
Large yachts will find it convenient to
use Papeete port ISPS certified down
town finger piers that can accommodate vessels up to 200m. Fuel is
received on these docks by pipe.
These docks provide a rare occasion
for large yachts to come close to a
lively town with shops, bars,
restaurants, banks, news stands,
and famous Papeete market.
Papeete has workshops for all
trades : welding, milling and metal
fabrication, carpentry, reefer
engineering and electricity, upholstery,
sails and engine repairs, boat
maintenance . . .

MARINA TAINA
Located five miles West of Papeete
harbour, Marina Taina offers a safe,
quiet and pollution free environment,
close to Tahiti international airport
and Carrefour shopping mall.
A marine gas station (Fuel delivery
on board by pipe), two restaurants,
two dive clubs, several boat repair
and maintenance shops and two
ship chandlers are located on the
premises.
Two concrete docks can handle up to
27 units under 60 meters at the
same time. Mooring stern-to with one
anchor and lines on 4 tons bottom
blocks - Depth from 4 to 15m.
