In 1947, George Sax built a grand hotel on Miami Beach, where Frank and
Sammy and Dean entertained the crowds, who whispered to themselves that
Marilyn was upstairs (in nothing but Chanel no. 5).
Today, Alan Faena reimagines that iconic playground, ushering a new era of
glamour into the hallowed halls of the historic Saxony Hotel. With interiors
and a cabaret designed by Baz Luhrman and Catherine Martin, restaurants by
Francis Mallman and Paul Qui, and a palatial cathedral entryway opening all
the way to the ocean and lined in murals by the great Juan Gatti, Faena Hotel

Faena parking transforms a mundane chore into an artistic
act. Its facade consists primarily of perforated concrete panels
designed to allow 360-degree airflow. Glassed areas at the
ground and top floors create immersive retail opportunities,
and subterranean tunnels connect to Faena Forum and Faena
Bazaar. Vehicular and passenger elevators are exposed to the
street by glass shaftways, exposing the inner workings of a
