PRESS RELEASE March 2009 Giuliano Mazzuoli presents
PRESS RELEASE March 2009 Giuliano Mazzuoli presents Manometro “Millesimato” The Florentine designer and entrepreneur reinterprets the instrument that measures pressure with a special edition of the Manometro timepiece. Giuliano Mazzuoli’s Tuscan identity is a resource and expression for genuine creativity that comes as a result of his roots and it is enriched by a contemporary and elegant expression. Giuliano Mazzuoli’s presence in the world of fine watchmaking comes from the tradition he inherited from an ancestor who built and repaired tower clocks in the Chianti area of Tuscany and from his creative genius for transforming everyday objects into something new and original. Essential and harmonious lines interpret even the smallest details in a craftsmanship that highlights the resources of the territory through the experience of making handcrafted and exclusive objects. Today, Giuliano Mazzuoli presents another jewel from his creative universe with a special edition of Manometro. The watch accentuates more closely the details of the mechanical instrument from which he took inspiration in creating his watch. With one produced for every day in the year during 2009, Manometro becomes “millesimato” (pertaining to a certain vintage like a fine wine) and it is numbered by hand on the dial in fountain pen blue. The stainless steel three-piece case with its distinct finishes accentuates its allure with an identifiable form. The watch is brought to life by a precision Swiss movement. On Manometro “millesimato” two screws adorn the polished bezel and the watch middle has a brushed finish. The case back is numbered and it is fixed to the watch with eight screws. The light cream-colored ivory dial matches beautifully with the black pure rubber strap. The handwritten numbers on the dial correspond to the days in the year for a total production of 365 pieces. Every watch is associated to a certain day of the year and the date can be written on the watch back by special request. For example, number “1” is associated to January 1, 2009 while the number “365” is associated to December 31, 2009. Like all of the timepieces in the Manometro collection, Manometro “Millesimato” is handcrafted in Tuscany using materials that are all made in Italy. The watch is for people who want to wear an exclusive accessory and who care about quality and style. The watch will be available in all Giuliano Mazzuoli authorized dealers starting from May 2009 at a retail price of 3,650 Euro.
